I just need to carve them. The heads are what I reall struggle with. They end up flatish. Only had 1 head I was happy with.

Working on getting some stuff done for the craft fair next month. Got a few bigger items done and a shit ton of small trees going. Going to add xmas lights to about 2/3rds of the small trees. Here is a bear head and owl hanger hoping the owl gets dry enough to finish but I dont have high hopes

Irs definitely doable. Would probably use some joinery for the animals so you could caver them separately and then attach them before finish. Would blend fairly well if you ised the same piece of wood. Just size a d weight concerns. If thats solid it weighs every bit of 150-200 lbs.You ever thought about making a carved mantle like this one? Maybe a owl carved into the other side.
