The TRACTOR thread

Does anyone recognize this brand? Yes, I know it says Johnson, which I’m assuming is the manufacturer, but I haven’t had luck finding out any other information about this plow.

The only other sticker on it is this:

It’s for Connally Implement Supply Company (CISCO) out of Amarillo, TX which has been out of business for a long time.

I’m looking for information on what type of listers were used on this plow.

edit: Asked on a Facebook farming group. It was made in Thrall, TX, which makes sense being I picked this up in Seguin. Johnson was sold to K&M manufacturing.

Bought this little guy to flip and have been running it all morning. Such a solid awsome little tractor

And not nearly as impressed with this one.. I mean it all works but lacks any coolness for what it is

Green one is a Kubota B series spec comparable, right?

Is the white one a bobcat?

I think its closer to a bx. Its 48" wide but low like the smaller ones... kinda an oddball. Fun to operate as its stable like a tractor , but small and maneuverable closer to a skid steer.

yeah, those brodozer-looking rear tires are playing some wacky games with the proportions. But with no sidewalls i bet its amazing to run on a sidehill.

I think that era Bobcat was just a white Kioti. I've heard the Kioti parts are way cheaper than the same thing with a bobcat part number on them too.
I believe thats current era that are white Kiotis. Ours is a 2024 and parts interchange with the corresponding Bobcats.

Been putting in work with this Kioti 2620. Up to 112hrs on it now and its been a reliable good machine. It blows and plows snow in the winter, has graded and spread rock on our large driveway and moved more dirt than a compact should. Currently in the middle of doing some firewise treatment around our house now that we are moved in and that grapple is slicker than ****. We had a pile of downed trees, cut trees, brush, etc and it just rips it all out no issue. This little tractor has paid for itself 10x over by now.

2305 > 102x series... Other than some ergonomics and drive over deck option, the 2305 was a better tractor, IMHO... Though I always hated the fuel tank location.

Well, needed the garden tilled. Had a cat 1 tiller and all tractors are cat 2.

So I ****ed around for a day and got it adapted. Then the 4020 I was gonna use disappeared to clear out field tree lines.

So I ended up with this ******ation. A deere 4430 with the pump turned up running a 6ft tiller.
Turned the soil into powder, lol. Pretty sure it busted up a couple of rocks, too.

Have we already talked about the brand new tractors with mechanically injected Cummins engines anybody can work on?

These back-to-basics machines are assembled in Alberta. Ursa’s 150-horsepower and 180-hp models run 5.9-liter Cummins engines, while the larger 260-hp model features an 8.3-liter Cummins like you’d find in combines from the 1990s. They’re all P-pumped, too, which is code for “mechanical fuel injection royalty.”

Wondering if they use reman motors or new blocks if at all possible to acquire.
I’ll spoon feed you the whole article one paragraph at a time I guess. Definitely don’t click the article or watch the video

When I asked Ursa Ag owner Doug Wilson about the engines, he explained that they’re remanufactured units. Wilson said that customers haven’t had any issue with that, and I believe him—most folks I know would rather have a remanned 12-valve than a new engine with tons of electronics

For the price of one service call for a forced regen on our kubotas you could cover your fuel and bring one back. If you’re in the market for a new one that is.....
