Odd I just looked them up and it looks like the payout is monthly? Looks higher risk which isn’t a huge concern (I’m in a few similar stocks in other areas) but I wouldn’t dump 10k into them either.
Right you are, monthly payout. I have 5k shares.

I did a bigger zoom out into the 1980s… how much of your capital has eroded on this one?

About 2k, but it's paid me $780 in dividends in the short time I've had it. I don't really care about the value of the stock as long as it's paying a dividend. I keep track of them in case I need to bail, or switch to something else.

So many circuit breaker trips in HOLO. Daily volume has blown the average out of the water

GPC finished strong yesterday considering the premarket drop. I didn’t buy puts on it because I didn’t have money in the gambling account.

I’ve lost 2k in the last week 🤦‍♂️
Utilities in my portfolio really shit the bed

logged into my account. I've been passively watching an absolute crash and burn, or what I expected to be a far worse crash and burn, for the things i'm over-exposed to. Figured there's nothing I could do, so no need to watch too closely. well, could set stop losses and dramatically limit exposure, but where's the fun in that?

something must have happened yesterday. The DJIA is above 38,000 and nearly at 40,000.  "it's the economy, stupid" only rings true when it does, but dang, that's the tradeoff for high inflation is "the market" goes on a tear.

my account is still around $10k when I was expecting to see closer to $8k. Banking seems to be dramatically rising.

COIN, i've been passively watching it fall. Had thought about buying a bunch the other day when it was ~$140 as it was going back up. Missed my mental "window" and going to buy 1 share to see what happens at open. $190....wild. That's the point I bailed on it last time, but this seems like a faster rise. Going to use a stop loss on this :rasta:

TSLA is back up to where it was a year ago

HFWA is still down 10% from when I bought it to protect myself from wild swings, but overall that isn't bad

Any recommendations of a platform for a beginning easing into it, small amt like 10k?

etrade, owned by morgan stanley

I was also just poking around with the investment trading account US Bank uses, it's garbage. difficult to navigate, doesn't have a feel that makes sense. difficult to find information. But they said they'd give me $100 if I used it for 4 months, so i'll do that :rasta:

Good day so far

TD Ameritrade by Schwab is another that is supposedly good and easy to use, haven't tried that one out.

buddy at work refuses to give up on robinhood, their user interface is bothersome and their ability to fail as much as possible is annoying. However, it does have simple format and clean look :homer:

well, interesting. I've recovered my early morning losses  COIN dropped, bought at 189 and it hit trailing stop at 183.5 :rasta:

Kept telling myself to grab a call on COIN last night to sell this morning at open...completely forgot. Guess I don't lose money if I don't gamble

for the first time in a week i got stable internet access at work yesterday, sadly that meant i had a weeks worth of work to catch up on and didn't get to spend time trying to make money on the internet

oh well, cost me $6 might try again later.

figure i'd try to make my $6 back with a HOLO

"trading is halted on this security" :lmao:

from $45 to $65 today  oh well

I originally put my HOLO up at limit sale of $85...

Then jumped out at $28.

Dammit. :homer:

I looked there haha
as long as you get out before the dump :rasta:

i wouldnt've thought about COIN except for the reddit guy at work talking about it :emb: so far, it's made me about $20 in total, which is better than the nothing i'd have made otherwise
