No surprise with a tcat at 22K and a 2up pantera at 19k I"d go with a sxs that can get used a lot more . The same reason Yamaha shut down there sled line I could see cat doing the same thing permanently.

I don't know how Cat or Polaris stay in Minnesota. That state is milking them for all they're worth.

Wouldn't surprise me if they moved the production to a friendlier state, but need to "bankrupt" and sell assets there first.

Ever since Textron bought Cat they've been ignoring riders, influences, and pros. Meanwhile Polaris and Ski-doo are neck deep in the product development and advertising. Look at the current big name riders, and most of them started on Cat.
First sled I ever rode was a kitty kat. I ended up on a pro because the m8000 handled so poorly and the alpha was breaking rails left and right.

As new machines keep stacking up at dealerships I expect to see announcements like this from BRP and Polaris also.

The BRP dealer I typically go to has 18 new sleds and 20 new sxs’s in the showroom and quite a few used machines. A couple years ago they asked me and a few others to bring our machines there for their open house because they didn’t have any inventory to display.

Those defender crew cab limited machines with heat and ac that were $35k can be bought new for under $30k now if you find the right dealer.

New ski doo renegades are selling at $2500-3k off retail. That same dealer has a new ‘25 renegade adrenaline 900 ace for $13k.

Took a cruise in a brand new HD10 yesterday. Real nice clark.

I hate to see layoffs, but love to see the cost of toys going down. Campers and boats are right there as well.

Difference there is every SxS I see is Polaris or BRP. Arctic cat has zero market share here. The dealers rarely keep more than a handful of sleds and the odd 4 wheeler. I've never actually seen an Arctic cat SxS in person or a 4 wheeler in the wild.

I checked the two cat dealers about a hour from me to see what’s in stock both had a hand full of 24’s and a hand full of 25’s . The 24’s are marked down but doubt it will help with sales . There was about 5-6 dealers around my area with two in my town they closed up over 20 yrs ago.

The last cat I brought from a dealer was a left over m1000 it was a good discount being two seasons old still in the crate .

I had a conversation with an old timer probably ten yrs back his outlook on how snowcross changed the snowmobile market for good was slowly killing it . In states with lack of snowfall it just makes sense to get a sxs. I don’t own a sxs and still have a few sleds but I can see how others have went away from them.

Kinda relates to this topic is Yamaha left the sled market but is the only company still making sport quads . Yet when I go into my local dealer that carries BRP , Honda , Suzuki , and Yamaha there’s not any raptors or yfz 450’s on the floor. They only have sxs’s , pwc and street bikes on display.
