The Pocket Knife Thread

So; to some of you homies, pocket knives are like a hat or underwear?

You keep a rotation?

I've always kept only one; in 45 years I've only owned three.

Pretty much. It’s just another hobby that can take you down a pretty expensive rabbit hole.

I have a bunch, but generally only carry one during the year. Last year I had two I carried until I lost one. Only a few that I keep in the safe.

I usually have my Spyderco Pacific Salt on me. Thing weighs next to nothing, easy to sharpen and holds a good edge for a long time.

I carry whatever I feel like or if I am hunting I will carry one of my larger longer blades.
My main go to is my benchmade 940, had it for years.

A couple of the fancier, smaller knives are more of a "gentlemen's carry". Have more tied up into knives than I would like, but I do enjoy them.

About the max I will spend on a knife would be $250 for that It better be M390 and titanium and carbon fiber.

One of my more recent buys a It’s pretty much everything I think I don’t like in a knife all black, flipper tab only, seep carry clip, smooth scales, ball bearings. But once I got it in my hand I really liked it.

Does anyone know who made this? I found it 20+ yrs ago on a lease road...holds an edge better than any knife I've ever owned.
Only custom knife I've ever owned too...

Is it serrated? I have both in a salt and the serrated edge stays sharp way longer.

No, not serrated. I prefer a straight edge. I'll agree that serrated does stay sharp longer though, or is usable longer.

What I've found over the years, that works best for me, is to only use a coarse stone when sharpening. I guess it ends up serrated on a microscopic level.

EDC for the last 12 years. There are haters but EVERYONE asks to use it when their dull pos fails.

I think it is a husky and it is getting pretty loose. Going to be a sad day when I have to find a replacement.

I carry my Zero Tolerance 0350ST. It takes a bit extra work to resharpen it (I know I could mail it in for free, but it's my edc) but I love that thing. I've abused the crap out of it, and it's taken everything I've thrown at it so far.

Dirt cheap no-name folder. Don't have to worry about breaking or losing. Naturally after bad luck with expensive knifes I've been carrying the same one for six-ish years or so. :homer:

I dont think so.. thwycare empty now for me too.. but weren't when I posted it.. I did all this from my phone.. I may need to clear my cache and restart my phone.

don't do anything yet. Austin did some kind of maintenance and a few pics scattered about the forum are not showing up, but he said he's working on it

Good ol' JB! That man has been complaining for 20 years about how he lost his best poop knife.

yes, you can multi-quote. hit the little quote "button" at the bottom right of what you want to quote and then hit post reply at the top left and it will populate the post box with all of the quotes

I don't know anything about the http>https thing
