The other heavy metal music.

I listen to a lot of stoner metal. Elder is one of my favorites of all time.

 
Kardashev who have been called "Death Gaze" metal and have embraced the title. Been deep into these guys as of late.

 
Heilung. It's hard to really call them metal. Norse pagan folk music with some heavy edge to it. The do end up popping up at the pagan metal festivals. I really dig it. If you like this kind of stuff check out Wardruna and Danheim. It's rooted in pagan earth rituals, nature and that sort of ancient scandanavian culture.

 
I'm sad these guys broke up and I never got a chance to see them.

 
Found another that's heavy as all fuck. I'm not keen on growling through an entire song, but the rest of it hits.

If you'd like some kick ass more obscure covers, check out this Black Cap Miner album. Fronted by Chris Ojeda of Byzantine, out of West by Gawd Virginia. I'll go to my grave saying this is the best metal cover album ever made. It's a crime how few listeners this has. Crank it up!
