TG vs Diamond vs ???

One additional thought... the TG front 609 has a pumpkin very close to the center of the truck. I'm sure that's partially for leaf spring packaging options.

But... It forces more lift as it gets very close to the oil pan on the 3rz at bump... If it was moved about 4" closer to the driver's side, it'd be a much better fit in the tacoma.
Isn’t part of the point of a 609 build to set your lengths where you want them? I haven’t looked, are you saying they sell an empty housing with the sides already cut to length and C’s on?

I was thinking the same exact thing. The big appeal to me is of course being lighter, but also putting the diff exactly where I wanted

Well shoot… I thought TG had a prebuilt one. Nope. The guys who built this one should have moved the diff over

I swear they did sell one that had everything but a 3rd.

I remember guys getting diamonds or whatever with only the short side longer, it gets goofy quick having a front diff too centered.

They sell "rollers"

I could have sworn they used to sell them more complete. Actually I'm almost positive because I remember looking at them years ago and they had a few different wms for a rear end at least.

just buy a spidertrax housing and stuff it with whatever diffs you want. not sure id deal with the headache of the others
This for sure.. its within a few hundred bucks by the time you buy weld on steering and bj eliminators

They had a taco one you could buy all done up. That was when they 1st came out

What are your guys thoughts on Ruff Stuff housings? Was looking at them for a rear 9.5 since they are 2 hours from me.

Only downside I've heard is that the center is large to package. Can't imagine that would be an issue on the rear though.

Yes .. it was for sas tacos. I don't think it made it a year on website from what I remember.

Interesting.

Toyota people are dumb though and will literally pay more for a Toyota axle
