So yea, just moving and leaving a redirect for a few days may be the best solution win/win.

Only thing with that is, google DDG etc SERPS don't bode well with dead links on short duration redirects.

Not sure about serps with permanent redirects tho, i mentioned Austin needs to clarify whether that's a win/win or what.

Meh. Who cares.

I'm personally more worried about the long list of OGs that have been banned or disappeared. I don't want this place to wither.

I was excited to see SnailTrail making this their home. I'm not sure if that's worked out.

I think there could be a lot of promo overlap with gun guys, eg Bunker Branding, AkGuy, Demo Ranch, etc.

Seems maybe dollars and cents are a bigger issue here than the board I’m talking about, if that’s the case and traffic at one sub forum over another on the same board effects the bottom line than I’ve got nothing.

Way over my pay grade.

Sounds like a solution to a problem that a few whiners are bugged by.:shaking: They can put on big girl panties and just scroll past the scary tech.

I don't see a problem with the tech I've seen in Chit Chat... usually it is more about 'help me find <XYZ>' or 'how can I fix my non-offroad ride' that really isn't 'tech'. The few times I've seen a mod move it, it was appropriate to move. I have a bigger problem trying to figure out if I should post to 'General 4x4' or 'newbie 4x4':homer:

How about this alternative solution; chronic whiners get time outs from Chit Chat after too many reports:flipoff2:

Rename chit chat to psychology tech?

Back in the day, Vbulletin board software had the option that when you moved a thread, it left a link in the original forum for a determined period of time like 30 days or whatever the mod that moved it set it at.

The thread started got notification that their thread had been moved.

Was kind of cool, helped the thread starter find his thread. It also posted it in two forums basically, for number of days.

Definitely a tractor sub forum

And a excavator sub forum

And a mini excavator sub forum as a sub forum of the sub forum

And a backhoe sub forum

And a hydraulic sub forum
We already have that

Too much tech in CC. Move it to Other Builds.

It's exactly like that here n now.

I didn't get the impression that wasn't the issue. I post plenty of IT tech threads or 3d printing question, etc in chat, it's where it goes based on the old board format.

I don't see an issue with it, but if the desired outcome is to "capture" these threads to find them easier (rather than getting lost in Chit Chat), I'd vote to have a "Side Projects" forum where threads get moved after they've run their course.

"Side Projects" don't even need to be vehicle related. Having a place to look for that "bathroom remodel that was posted some months ago" would come in handy.

Who are these overly sensitive clowns that run and cry to mods?

First **** gets censored, now people whine and cry about content?

Fer real?

Names. We need them. Out the butthurt faggot Karens.

They deserve the ridiculing as the douchecanoes they are.
I’m sure it was the same guy who cried about the meme thread so much they had to start a separate meme thread for people with comments.

you mean half the mod team?
because I know at least two of them get really butthurt over ascii characters being in non-jpeg format while ascii characters in jpeg format are somehow acceptable

...strangely missing the update to jet boat subforum

Anything 4x4 related should be moved to the appropriate subforum, anything else is fine in my opinion. I don't understand why people can't figure out the "New Posts" button if they want everything jumbled together
