The banning of swimming in pools is one I never understood. Most pools are (over)chlorinated and diluting a virus in water makes it far less likely to get into your lungs, almost along the lines of wetting something if you dont want to create dust.

And that's exactly what we need to happen to get over this bullshit feel-good overreach.

You want to wear PPE & practice distancing to "ensure" you'll live? - you should be free to do so.

You want to risk catching the turbo-sniffles and run the risk of death? - that should be none of my goddamned business.

Get the fucking Karens out of the wheelhouse - this authoritarian overreach w/ a side of encroaching Socialism is bullshit.
 
Some of you guys watch too much TV. If you still think this is some deadly virus and if you catch it you die then that’s on you, stay home and be a pussy for all I care. The majority of people are over this bullshit and the sturgis rally is the statement this country needed. I haven’t seen a single media truck or reporter here in the black hills and I’ve been to every big biker attraction so far. They don’t want you to see how normal it is here.
 
This situation reminds me of an old MAD TV skit.

I can see a similar thing playing out in many peoples lives in the near future.

As long as you don't do it around people who want to wear the mask. There is no argument otherwise.

If 250k of them want to gather in one spot, it's no issue.
 
If liberals and the left agree with something, covid won’t effect you.
If the liberals and the left disagree with something, covid will kill you and everyone you encounter.

. . . and if any locals feel "micro-aggressed" or "triggered" (or whatever the latest new term is for butthurt), they have the freedom to wear a mask and/or physically distance themselves from the 'rona potential. Hell, if you want to wear a positive-pressure biohazard suit into a 7-11, have at it. And if I choose to point and laugh out loud, please respect my right to free speech :laughing:

I agree, that in Sturgis Bumfuck, it would be unreasonable to expect a bunch of aging Boomers to wear the mask just because you do.

In the rest of most of the country, you do not have the 'right' to not wear a mask where the mask order is in place. Nope, you don't. There is over 100 years of precedent on this, in fact I'd say closer to 5,000 years of precedent. Because all of recorded History has instances of people being required to respect a quarantine of some type (before the term quarantine was coined out of a language that is not strictly 5,000 years old).
