I need to find said kits to run Starlink off DC. Das Haus is on a 24v system.
People are running the Starlink Mini off just about any brand out there

I posted my DC setup, it can be easy as you want or cheap as you want.We don't have the mini. I'll try to remember to look for 24v setup.
I'll look at it more. Had only glanced at your links before and saw 48v. I see a couple lower voltage options.I posted my DC setup, it can be easy as you want or cheap as you want.
Chosing the power source just dictates which boost converter you use.
Starlink yea or nay?
That's exactly what I've caught on a few recent vids and chatter from the interwebs. Hence I gotta read up on mounting.irate4x4.com
It comes with a router. It’s pretty basic so if you need anything other than just wifi, you should use a third party router.Do you need to buy a modem when you get a starlink? I'm moving and they seem like a great option.
The dish is 48v, no way around that.I'll look at it more. Had only glanced at your links before and saw 48v. I see a couple lower voltage options.
Mini is $599, that's cheaper than the gen2 I bought.dish for the mini is stupid stupid expensive.
The monthly cost plant was reduce some time ago. The power tool batteries are neat. 18v doesn't seem to hurt the 24v system?
Yeah, I read that the dish is 48v. Just need to figure out the units needed to power off 24v. From the looks of the prices, may just stay AC for now. Interesting note: I still get two bars of wifi signal from ours at my car and that's over 150' away from the router. The dish is 48v, no way around that.
So you are converting from your vehicle/system DC voltage to 48v regardless.
The main advantage for me to go DC is I don't have to worry about when switching from AC power source and requiring the inverter to be on to keep it going.Yeah, I read that the dish is 48v. Same. I'm steadily putting more on DC rather than having to waste a bit of power to run an inverter. The main advantage for me to go DC is I don't have to worry about when switching from AC power source and requiring the inverter to be on to keep it going.
On DC i can turn it on when I get back to the RV and not have to turn it off until bed time.
If you look around I think you can do it cheaper than I did if you don't mind cutting the one cable to put a RJ-45 on the end.Same. I'm steadily putting more on DC rather than having to waste a bit of power to run an inverter.
I have a lot to read up on for this. Haven't really kept up with Starlink at all. So far, works far better than anything else and it has obstructions.
Don't mind at all. I've got the crimpers and RJ-45 ends on hand.If you look around I think you can do it cheaper than I did if you don't mind cutting the one cable to put a RJ-45 on the end.
I wanted to keep it all OEM so it cost a little more.

The new dishes are RJ45 anyway.Don't mind at all. I've got the crimpers and RJ-45 ends on hand.
I'll check ours this week. It's new. Had to unplug the dish cable to reroute it a week or so ago. Barely glanced at it, but looked like RJ-45.The new dishes are RJ45 anyway.
Yeah, starlink is the first thing I'm buying tomorrow in the new place. Fuck cable tv and their fucking monopolies.Late to the party, I dropped cable and went with Starlink and DIRECTV app, couldn’t be happier. Getting more for less
I guess you just need to make sure the pinout of the rj45 is compatible with the POE injector.Ran upstairs to take a gander. Note the text inside the port . Reminds me about Tesla staff writing "Hi, Sandy" on one of the Cyber truck PCBs.
Me thinks so, too. Have to read up more on this yet.I guess you just need to make sure the pinout of the rj45 is compatible with the POE injector.
I use it for vacation only.Anyone have experience with using starlink part time? I would like it out at my cabin but only for 1-3 weeks at a time. Is the 120 prorated if you start on say the 15th and go till the 30th?
It’s prorated base on your billing date, which was established the first time you activated your service.Anyone have experience with using starlink part time? I would like it out at my cabin but only for 1-3 weeks at a time. Is the 120 prorated if you start on say the 15th and go till the 30th?
