Oh, and :flipoff2:as I try not to spend about $800 on a few sets here...

[edit] I think I've convinced myself on four (two pair) of the high jack stands. Optimal would be four (two pair) of both the mid and high height ones, but that's sort of overkill.

Thank you for the notice, Firstram - they came today.

I was a bit concerned at the appearance of the packaging, but everything arrived intact and all parts were accounted for. There were some chips and scuffs to the paint, but I'll probably do worse to them in the first month or two.

These things are beefy! Definitely worth the price. I'll likely never do anything with them that approaches their capacity, but just the weight and solidness will make a good base for working from.

Megapro Shaftlok.

Not sure what Builder's World Wholesale means, but $28 CDN is cheapest I've found, and it comes with an extension.

I've already got one from a local electrical store, and wasn't sure about the amazon one being a knockoff, but now I've got it in my hands and can't tell the difference. Looks real.

Made in USA!

Bits lock in place with a piece of metal like the ejector on a 22lr. I press the button everytime I load a bit (you don't have to, but it'll keep the metal from wearing out eventually).

Canada link, not sure if .com has the same.

I'm not even sure what that is. Just a hand bit driver?
Yeah, it's just a multi bit screwdriver with bits in the handle. This specific one locks onto the bits so they cannot fall out, and has a locking extension for extended reach.

The shaft is nice and low profile, not much fatter than the bits.

And to think, I built four tall stands like that out of 2" seamless square tubing years ago. All I remember was it was a shit ton of drilling 5/8" holes... uuuugh.

Going to the US next week, is there anything worthwhile at Harbor Freight right now that may or not be on sale? I was thinking about a rolling tool cart
