I was just going to have him put it together with the parts I have, but if I'm going through all the trouble of rebuilding this thing again I may as well go all in so I'm not wishing I did mid season. Buy once, cry once...

I showed him pictures of what happened and he wasn't impressed to say the least.

Myself and another Talon racer are trying to figure out a better air filter but the angle of the TB keeps us from building what we want. I think the Africa Twin boots do what we need but the throttle body would have to be installed backwards and neither of us know if it will work. I'll have to wait until I get my engine back to experiment.

You can get stuff metal, aluminum titatnium etc. 3d printed now just need to CAD it up.
What yall trying to do?

The TB sticks off the head at an angle with straight boots and puts the air filter directly in line and against a frame tube. I need boots that put the TB at a 90° angle to the chassis so I can take the velocity stack and build a base off it that holds something like a sprint car air filter with an outerwear prefilter around it.

The velocity stack is worth a bunch of HP to the wheels so it needs to stay but the filter deal sucks dick.

I want something like this on top of the velocity stack.....

Boots came in yesterday and they fit the TB perfectly. I'm going to have to flip the TB around to line the injectors up with the intake valves but I've already gotten confirmation that it's 100% doable. I'm sending the boots to my buddy with the same intake and fuel system setup so he can experiment with them while my engine is at the machine shop. :smokin:
