Looks like Shepherd to me. Black along the body isn't normal for Mals, is it? Thought they had tan bodies. and shorter hair than that.

There are three different Belgian Shepards: Malinois (or Mals) Terverens (or Tervs) and Greonendaels (both the later are long haired hippies).

Just jumped on Wiki, guess there is a fourth Belgian, a Leakenois. Damn thing look like it need a hard straightener and a good brushing.

That one above looks like a long hair GSD.

Edit**** Pics didn't go through...

I wasn't really sure of the breed at all. It was just a timely dog pic in a world of hurt. The Dneiper was the scene of deadly war twice in the campaigns of the eastern front in WWII. Estimated 20 million "Russians" died in the great Patriotic war. Thats a fuck load of bodies. Not sure how many Germans and their allies died on that soil.

The MIC runs DC and has for years. The only actual bipartisan issues in DC are the ones that feed the MIC. The last guy that got in their way got his head turned into a canoe in Dallas and everyone else got the fucking message. It's been a blank check ever since.

WTF From whta I have read there was almost a peace agreement signed at least a year ago and the fucking English Prime minister went over and stopped it now Mr Potato Head is urging Ukraine to open negotiations! :mad3:

The United States is privately encouraging Ukraine to signal an openness to negotiate with Russia, the Washington Post reported, as the State Department said Moscow was escalating the war and did not seriously wish to engage in peace talks.
The newspaper cited unnamed sources as saying the request by American officials was not aimed at pushing Ukraine to the negotiating table, but a calculated attempt to ensure Kyiv maintains the support of other nations.
U.S. and Ukrainian officials acknowledged that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's ban on talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin had generated concern in parts of Europe, Africa and Latin America, where the war's effects on costs of food and fuel are felt most sharply, the Post said.
"Ukraine fatigue is a real thing for some of our partners," it quoted an unnamed U.S. official as saying.
Zelenskiy signed a decree on Oct. 4 formally declaring the prospect of any Ukrainian talks with Putin "impossible" but leaving the door open to talks with Russia.
The White House National Security Council had no immediate comment on the accuracy of the report.
A State Department spokesperson responded: "We've said it before and will say it again: Actions speak louder than words. If Russia is ready for negotiation, it should stop its bombs and missiles and withdraw its forces from Ukraine.
"The Kremlin continues to escalate this war. The Kremlin has demonstrated its unwillingness to seriously engage in negotiations since even before it launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine."

The spokesperson also noted remarks by Zelenskiy on Friday, in which he said: "We are ready for peace, for a fair and just peace, the formula of which we have voiced many times."
In his nightly address to the Ukrainian people on Friday, Zelenskiy added: "The world knows our position. This is respect for the U.N. Charter, respect for our territorial integrity, respect for our people."
U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said during a visit to Kyiv on Friday that Washington's support for Ukraine would remain "unwavering and unflinching" after Tuesday's midterm congressional elections.
The United States announced $400 million worth of additional security assistance for Ukraine, including refurbishing T-72 tanks from the Czech Republic and missiles for HAWK air defenses that could be used against Russian drones and cruise missiles.
The new assistance brought the amount of U.S. military aid sent to Kyiv to more than $18.2 billion since the invasion.
FIGHTING
Citing emergency services, Russian news agencies reported on Sunday that Ukraine's vast Russian-held Nova Kakhovka dam was damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces. The reports provided no evidence to support the allegation, which could not be immediately verified by Reuters.
Russian state-owned news agency TASS quoted a representative of the emergency services as saying that a rocket launched by a U.S.-made HIMARS missile system had hit the dam's lock and caused damaged. The official quoted said it was an "attempt to create the conditions for a humanitarian catastrophe" by breaching the dam.
The dam, which blocks the Dnipro river upstream of the southern city of Kherson where Ukrainian forces have been making advances, has taken on strategic significance in recent weeks.
Both Russia and Ukraine have since October repeatedly accused each of planning to breach the dam using explosives, in a move that would flood much of the area downstream in what would likely cause major destruction around Kherson city.
In the latest sign of Russia's retreat in one of the most bitterly contested areas, Putin publicly endorsed the evacuation of civilians from parts of the Kherson region on Friday.
This appeared to be the first time Putin has endorsed the evacuations personally, although Moscow has been ferrying people out of an area it controls in Kherson on the west bank of the Dnipro River.
Last week Russia said the evacuation zone would also include a 15-km (10-mile) buffer area on the east bank.
Kyiv says the measures have included forced deportations of civilians, a war crime, which Russia denies.
Putin's comments came amid signs Russia could be preparing to abandon its military foothold on the west bank of the Dnipro, including Russian-held Kherson city.
The regional capital is the only big city Russia has captured intact since its invasion in February. Its loss for Russian forces would be one of the severest blows of the war.
An energy company in Kherson on Sunday said there is no electricity in the city, Russian state-owned news agency RIA reported. RIA quoted the Khersonoblenergo press service as saying that the reasons for the outage were being clarified.

No, impossible. The MSM says Ukraine is winning on all fronts and Russia is an obsolete army of archaic equipment and strategy :homer:

Putin's War, Week 36. Russian Mobilization Ends, Ukrainian Commandos Strike Deep Inside Russia, and What the Heck Is Happening in Kherson?

Welcome to my newest update on Putin’s War in Ukraine. We are now 36 weeks — 254 days — since Russia launched an unprovoked attack on Ukraine. My last update can be found at Putin’s War, Week 35. The Lull Before the Next Storm. There has been some action, but the crappy weather has slowed things down. Also, both sides are somewhat tired after a punishing summer’s campaigning. I look at this period as the break when the fighters have returned to their corners.

Politico-Strategic Level

Two significant items have been covered outside this update. First, the Pentagon is beefing up the number of weapons inspectors to ensure that weapons allocated to the Ukrainian Army end up there. Naturally, the folks who have been cheering Putin are claiming that this is a nefarious first step towards the US military fighting Russia a la Kennedy’s Special Forces advisors in South Vietnam. I think that is bullsh**, YMMV. If you’re interested, read more at The Pentagon Sends Weapons Security Inspectors to Ukraine; if You Thought Those Opposing Aid to Ukraine Were Happy, Think Again.

The second item is that after Ukraine launched an air-sea drone attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet at anchor in Sevastopol (Ukraine Carries out Extensive Drone Attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet Sevastopol Homeport), Putin declared that Russia was leaving the agreement that allowed Ukrainian grain to be shipped out of the war zone. By Wednesday, he’d backed down (Vladimir Putin Rejoins Ukraine Grain Deal After He Finds No One Cared That He Left).

Russia’s Dirty-Bomb-False-Flag Gambit Fizzles

Last update, one of the major topics was a claim by the Russian government, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, that Ukraine was going to carry out a “dirty bomb” attack on its own territory and then, in best Alex Jones “false flag” tradition, blame Russia for it. The Russians claimed that this was a scheme by Ukraine to draw NATO into the conflict because of the NATO nations downwind, which might be irradiated. An equally plausible alternative is that Russia would detonate the dirty bomb, cry “false flag,” and that would justify Russia using a tactical nuke or five and claiming they were justified. See Russia’s ‘False Flag Dirty Bomb Attack’ Gambit Is Laughed at by Everyone, That Doesn’t Mean They Won’t Do It.

No one bought the story. But, as I reported last week, we know Putin approached China and India with the claim. We don’t know how China reacted, but India was not sympathetic (Putin Ally Shuts Down Russia’s Claim Ukraine Plans to Unleash Dirty Bomb).

The allegation did motivate the International Atomic Energy Agency to send inspectors to the nuclear power plants under Ukrainian control. They reported back that there was no evidence of any missing material for a “dirty bomb.”

Belarus-Ukraine Face-Off Continues

Last update I posted about the low-grade mobilization effort in Belarus and the possibility that Belarus would open a “second front” in the war. I think the danger of this is minimal, but Ukraine has to plan based on capabilities rather than intention, and so the recent belligerence by Belarus has frozen some Ukrainian forces in place.
