Baikal.

I have an Artemida.

Edit, my previous employer has a bunch of very expensive paperweights, that were formerly known as helicopters, which are of Russian origin. :homer:

Which makes it even worse. Their export economy is stuff that comes from the ground. In my lifetime I do not recall ever buying a manufactured Russian product.

If the sanctions from the West last, this is very bad news for Russia, a very high price to pay to increase their land area by 0.01%.

It isn't about land. The ruble is crushing the euro even, euro inflation is worse than the dollar by a bunch right now

They are a far cry from china's bitch and have decades of sanctions under their belt. They've effectively proven that europe is their bitch though.
Other countries have what Russia sells. Just need time to rearrange the world's trade/logistics.
For fucks sake, WE, the USA, were begging Iran and argentina for oil.
Only because WE are worshiping at the altar of Climate Change, never mind that we have the largest oil reserves in the world. Europe too has A LOT of coal and a great deal of oil. They just chose not to use it for the last twenty years. That's changing fast.

Kalashnikov rifles and Wolf ammunition

simple crude shit

I am not certain their "economy" is ruined by this action or not ???

The ruble value is artificial.

The currency is also being artificially inflated by capital controls and, with the country's gross domestic product predicted to shrink 10%-15% this year, Russians are quickly getting poorer as soaring inflation devours their earnings.

Considering we “lost” both of the Iraq and Afghan wars (not militarily but through poor strategy and public perception) I laugh at everyone saying we’d just roll through China and Russia and come out clean. We lost thousands of lives, spent trillions and don’t have much positive things to show for it.

NATO is a scam propped up by the US. Let them handle it. Think we’d be better off with minding our own business and taking a ‘fuck around and find out approach’

There’s a ton of atrocities going on in the world and we can’t fix all of them.

More artificial than the dollar, euro or ???? It surely didn't collapse like "it was supposed to" but the dollar sure did

And that’s somehow different than what we’re seeing here?

Yup. Their shit policies are about par as our shit policies.

Sooo....whenever the US collapses, so too will russia

Then stop crowing about it as if it's a big deal. You don't get to have it both ways.
I'm saying the ruble didn't drop relative to world currency worse, and is often better, than the alternatives.

Sure it is just as propped up as all the others, but that goes along with why I'm saying that Russia isn't in dire straights or learning a lesson or in some other desperate or terrible position right now.

I'm just not seeing it anywhere.

And what I'm saying is it's artificial and using it to claim that Russia is doing okay is patently a falsehood.

The Kamov Ka-32 is a fucking marvel of engineering. If they weren't effectively neutered from being used by the FAA and other regulators, and they could provide some better level of product support, they easily could have carved out a large segment of the rotary aircraft market in the Americas.

Product support was a nightmare. My previous employer literally stocked more parts for them than the manufacturer did, any employed people "off the books" that worked for Kamov to provide them with inside info on what parts were being produce and to expedite the purchasing of them. Operators all around the world would phone them to try to buy parts because Kamov would be 6 months to a year lead time on everything.

But yeah, they are NOT relying on exporting this stuff. They could have built a huge export market for some of the more useful Soviet industrial products, but corruption, red tape, and lack of interest on their part prevented it.

weren't the soviet hop-ta-cop-ters like far and away the best?

maybe that's leftover iron-curtain mystique though...

But at what price? His country is now isolated to a large degree, with no choice than to be China's b$#%.

When they need to beg Iran for fairly crude drones, you know their economy/manufacturing is in bad shape.

Vlad now controls 70% of the natural gas in Europe, think about that. That's the end goal of the whole war, $$$$$$$$

I know the Hinds in Afghanistan got a good reputation for being able to take small arms fire and still fly and dish out retribution. They weren't so good at taking missile fire though.:usa:

Is that any different than before the Nazi cleanup on Aisle Kiev ?
