How many western citizens actually want any of this? Hopefully Putin knows that a lot of the actual citizens of the west don't want anything to do with this.

I sure as hell am not going to go and fight a war for some elitist bullshit. If any time is a time for a civil war here, that would be my line.

Ask people if they support Ukraine and most would answer yes.

Ask people if they're willing to start WW3 over Ukraine's sovereignty and the vast majority say hell fucking no.

Well, folks. That might be where we currently stand.

People Uneducated on the background of the current Ukraine/Russia war, and only read the headlines, most would answer yes.

How many citizens anywhere want any of this? I don't know anyone over hear that would want it. I'm pretty sure your averaga russian or ukranian doesn't either.

If the governments of the world would just go away and let the people just be people, then none of this would matter anymore. I know its a pipe dream.

On a historical side note:
What pushed the Japs over the edge against the U.S. was Roosevelt cutting all oil to them.
92% of all Japs' oil was imported!

Here we are again with natural resources being the tipping point/pivotal point in a regional conflict/war.
And with a Democrat in the WH, AGAIN.🤔

And we cut the oil because they invaded and took over Indo-China. We decided we weren't going to supply them with the means to brutalize their neighbors.

Putins speech never mentioned attacking NATO, he did say he would protect the regions as Russian territory with what ever it takes to do so. If NATO and the US as Biden says that they will continue to bring in weapons and those weapons were to be used on those territories he will consider that an attack on Russia. He was clear on that.

One needs to understand the history of Ukraine and the coup of 2014. Donbas left Ukraine before Russian involvement. Both Minsk agreements were ignored by Ukraine and the West. The West and America supplied money and weapon systems which were are used to kill civilians and still is today.

Ukraine is not Mr Rogers neighborhood.

Taiwan is a total different issue. They are not killing Chinese and I think they just want to be left alone. Again the US wont have that, Flood them with weapons as we are doing, talk shit and see where it goes. If China moves on Taiwan theres not much we can do but watch or start a big ass war.

We should learn to negotiate. We cant take on either country in their backyard nor both at the same time.

I dont see anyone on our government trying to the brakes on with this mess and that's a concern. I hope someone in the Pentagon has some common sense when the shit hits the fan.

But I don't think the Allies took the Italians seriously.

What's interesting;
Italy's major military operations (N. Africa and Greco-Italian War) slowed/weakened Hi.lter's/Germany's offensives in Eastern Europe both in time, soldiers, and military hardware.

Particularly the Greco-Italian War; because he pulled vital armored units off the Eastern front, delaying Operation Barbarossa.
That one month delay costed them taking *Moscow.

And then delaying Operation Citadel; after they lost in N. Africa.


*There have been academic abates/arguments over how our world would have been like post-WWII had Germany taken Moscow, and thereby eliminating the communist government.

Also, Taiwan is already formally China, so their is no neighbor to take land from. Hence why China has no reason to "invade" Taiwan. They may do what they did in Hong Kong though, that would be low risk

Our national debt is somehow without recourse, because if anyone calls us on it, their economy probably won't survive doing so.

Just because he is speaking from a position of massive hypocrisy does not make him wrong about the degradation of western morality.

He would not be using these talking points as an excuse for aggression against the west if they did not resonate with his people at least.

I am too young to remember Soviet propaganda but from what I have seen most of it was lies or wild exaggeration of our flaws and the flaws in our system. Our greed, our excess, our individualism. Some of it had basis in fact such as our history on race relations.

Propaganda? Certainly.
Bullshit? Well, that’s up to interpretation.
 
After the speech Putin went out to Red Square where a large gathering of people were. He doesnt look sick or shaking. The lady is a poet and from Donesk. Im sure it was set up scene. What I find interesting in who's guarding Putin. Being the most want guy on earth I bet his body guards were a bit nervous. LOL How long will it be when someone takes a shot at him?
