The word "sanctions" gets thrown around a lot and while I have a very basic idea of the concept, I have no clue what they really are or how they even "work".

Specifically:

1. What exactly is a "sanction", how does it "hurt" the country or thing the sanction is being applied to?
2. How in the world are we, the United States, putting a "sanction" on something that has no direct impact on the U.S. (We don't "control" Russia who is supplying the gas, we don't "control" the European countries who are consuming said gas, nor do we own or control the pipeline transporting said gas, and none of this is happening across even a part of U.S. Territory).

My limited understanding:

Freeze foreign assets of the government or it's officials by leveraging our own economic power with international banks, I.E do this or we will not play ball with you. Russia is very big but it's economy is relatively small on the world stage, the banks are not going to back them over us.

We also influence world markets to not deal with the government, to not allow investment from or into the country in question.

Most countries, even advanced wealthy ones in Europe, depend on the US for aid or security to some extent so when we say jump...

Specifically in the Russia case the world media machine, with our media at it's helm, convinces the populations of various countries to see Russia as a major threat (admittedly easy enough to do) and to try and punish them economically which gives the leaders of those countries cover to take actions that will harm the quality of life of their own citizens. One of the many examples of why democracy is chaotic at best, with a good enough propaganda effort you can easily make people vote against their own interests.

While I don't necessarily fully believe everything presented in the series, The Fall of the Cabal series talked about how part of the Deep State's plan was to get us into a nuclear war with Russia (to what end, I don't know, I don't know how that benefits "the Cabal"). It was one of the things in the video I was extremely skeptical about (again, what purpose does it serve "the Cabal"); and yet, here with the Deep State fully back in control of the Federal gov't we are on the verge of WWIII.

Personally, at this point, I think that the whole QAnon thing was/is a psyop designed to keep those that would have stepped off the porch by now to remain on the porch and "trust the plan." Trust that the "white hats" are really in control and will step in at the last minute to save the day.

If the Puppet Masters have the Potato talk about actually getting us into a war with Russia, we all need to step off the porch. Nobody is going to step in to save us, there is no Q, no plan, if we are to prevent this farce of a government from getting us into a nuclear war, then WE are going to have to be the ones to "step off the porch". A second civil war or second revolution is infinitely better than a nuclear holocaust.

I agree but, We know for a fact....without a doubt....that our government has looked us dead in the eyes and completely lied. So I have no faith in anything they claim to have or not have done.

The major military contractors get to see income that they didn't see during Trump's presidency because he got us into no new wars. Things were stagnat from a military/war standpoint.

When they create a new enemy it scratches the backs of the MIC, lines the pockets of those companies and politicians, and creates another "enemy" or current thing to be a afraid of...for the government to rescue/protect us from.

It's the same story over and over. The only difference is the cast of characters.

Yea, but if the MIC is based in the U.S., it doesn't make sense to start a war that will end in the annihilation of the U.S. (including the MIC's manufacturing facilities). Especially when there is a shit ton of 3rd world dictatorships to start wars in.

I've heard/read about crimes in the mid-West where people killed were disposed of by pigs.

Also accidents involving people falling in a pig pen full of pigs.:eek:

Sanctions sound tough and look tough, but really the only people that suffer are at the bottom, just like us.

We were still buying Russian oil after sanctions started. When they finally stopped, if they really have stopped. Who suffers?
You and me. None of the rich people suffer.

Iran is a good example. The sanctions that went on for decades, all it did was cause the people to starve and suffer.

Maybe the idea is to make it so hard on the people that they finally get up and overthrow their government.
 
One of the pod casts I listen to has been beating the drum that biden just can't shut up on any of this stuff. He basically projects out next move everytime he opens his mouth. I'd say they are right.
