Ride shocks by Accutune

The term your looking for is plateau hone. I would like to see shock dyno evidence that it actually does anything.
I guess that term could be used loosely maybe. This is not an engine cylinder.

Your primarily ensuring the flatness and provided micro cross hatching to break the tension.

The real question honestly is why would a company be criticized for taking thorough steps to produce the best product possible?

Dyno and performance aside what is wrong with ensuring that our pistons are smooth, flat and burr free. If it takes us longer that's our choice to do so. It allows us to have more eyes and hands on the product ensuring proper quality.

IMO that is such a rapid event when the valve opens and closes that it would be very hard to see with most of the dyno’s I have worked with. I don’t know if Roehrig has that resolution.

You could make the point that if the dyno can’t pick it up, does it matter. And there would be validity to that question.

I have honed and sanded a number of pistons to make them work better. It definitely helps. Get multiple shocks running line on line (helps make the curves the same.)
The cross-hatching from honing will be evident in the curve's fine details, as it smooths out and opens the discs at low speeds. Although it’s challenging to detect and document, our ultimate goal is to ensure product consistency and achieve the flattest, smoothest parts while maintaining precise tolerances.

When your machining a thousand part run there are any number of things that can cause the surface finish to not meet our standards. The after machine process ensures all variables are accounted for and gives the best option for consistency.

And no worries on the parts. Just making sure you know we are an open book and happy to have you tear a shock apart. :)

Regarding springs, Am I to assume this was a few of years ago 2020/2021.
We did a lot of Viper springs ( FOA ) They were an available option however over a long while we ran into the following issues.

carbon_shocks ; yes, late 2021 early 2022. I provided weights and estimated sprung/unsprung weights after speaking to you personally Daniel. You said you would spec the springs and lengths. They showed up unmarked except for 2 springs, none match marked. Incorrect lengths for 2.5 inch 14 and 16 inch length coilovers.

The downside to eibach is there is no spring exchange so it makes it harder in that aspect but quality is 100% better.

carbon_shocks ; I understand the no exchange, but would appreciate replacements at an agreed upon cost.

Did you talk to us about the spring by chance? Did we spec them out or was it you ordered and Viper sent the wrong stuff?

carbon_shocks ; yes, you spec'd them.

Regarding Reservoir,

Early on we did use an adjustable Resi brought to us and after a while we logged to many issues to continue using them. We scrapped almost 40K in parts and kept enough items to service customers. Our new resi was in R&D for about 2 years prior to releasing so there was a period we did not offer an adjuster. Once we released them we provided options to people based on any number of situation. I do not recall your exact situation as to details but I see what you are saying.

Yes, I am still running your shocks and would appreciate replacement adjustable reservoirs.

Please pm me.

Do those overpriced shock absorbers have a computer and different app programs that you down load into the shock absorber for each road you drive on?...... If not, they are just no good. :lmao::stirthepot::homer::shocked:
