I took the AX10 out today for a run before it goes under the knife again for a while.

It may not look like much, but this spot was a real booger that required the perfect line. I was excited enough when I made it, I had to get a picture.

Traxxas slash 2wd after I relaxed the stock motor we burned out. 2S HOOVO LiPo battery.

Drove it up and down the street a few times to see what it can do according to my gps watch. I was giggling in absurdity at this. First photo is the second run. 1/3 mile total distance.

Either your gps is off or something is wrong with your car. Even a 2s lipo in a 2wd slash should be a lot faster.

What is the new motor? That's pretty inline with what I see on the kids slash with 2s

How do? It’s 86/19 gearing. Maybe if I changed this around, but I trust the GPS just because it’s proven me it’s accurate. I had plenty of road to get this to max speed for the gearing.

Swayzeexpress just the stock Traxxas 12T motor. I considered upgrading to the Velineon VXL-3 and 3500 brushless motor just for the waterproof motor. It has the added benefit of 50% power options so my kids can grow into the power, and I could restrict it if his kids or other adults want to try.

Ok, I assumed you were brushless... its probably working fine.

My kids are 6 and 7, playing rc their whole lives. I used to just wrap thick tape around the trigger as a limiter when they'd just bash into everything lol

My youngest is almost three and does well. If we drive together it’s more fun because he hits the gas full throttle so I have to drive appropriately while also having no control over the speed. It’s…skill building.

New to me arrma senton. This thing rips

Welp, took the kids out to our local beach crawling spot (not as weird as it sounds when you see the pics) and we proceeded to break 3 of 4 rigs. Steering servo let go on one, broken axleshaft on another, which led to me 3x4ing it until the rear end let go, and the third had the 3 gear transmission finally eat some plastic gears.

My son's capra survived.. probably because he's the only one that has any finesse when playing with these things.

He even let his little bro have a go and little bro actually treated his rig nicely. Progress!

Luckily it's the beach, and we have indian summers, and there was a dude playing with... bubbles??

Buddy brought over his overly fast traxxas revo (I think it is). His kid said he could jump the mulch mound. Although correct, it was a spectacular landing.

Throw a little brass on the knuckles, a 500+ oz servo and a decent sensored brushless setup on it and really have some fun.

Tell me more :grinpimp:

I want to get a TRX4 for myself, and a TRX4m for the kiddo for his (7th) birthday this summer

I'd have a hard time choosing which one I'd want, they are all super cool looking!

This Blazer would probably be the winner.....

Grab any of them that tickle your fancy except the sport. 2 speed and selectable lockers are where it's at and the sport ain't got either.

I used an Amazon 35kg servo for years with a cheap 150 amp sensored esc and a variety of motors from 1800 kv to 3300 kv all on 4s. Such a fun rig to yeet all over the place and still take trailing with the nerds.

This thing is a blast. H/lo range, selectable lockers front and rear. It rocks. Bought the FIL (80 years old] the mini version for Christmas to keep him busy. He loves it.

had a suspension breakage yesterday that I ghetto fab’d back together. The truck hauled the toolbox back to home though.
