What's new

Quad thread spinoff: are you spending money right now?

I doubt my reasoning makes any sense, but I'm currently making some big-dollar purchases right now before they install Harris.

About $20K went to a new-to-me car which I kind of needed anyway. But $20K was a splurge when there are reliable $8K cars out there. Also about to drop another $10K to have my driveway paved.
How big is your driveway?

A buddy is ordering a new smoker trailer...

That is retarded.

I'd could probably jump on a good deal cutaway van/4wd van/rv...that way I have somewhere to sleep once kamala commandeers my house to house the illegal immigrants that voted for her.

That is pre- covid new 1500 truck price.

Pretty sure I'd go with the old propane tank on converted boat trailer and call it a day.

I’m guessing this guy is on the BBQ circuit. Those people are a little different. I had to listen to two of them talk about all the ins and out of bbq competitions while I was waiting in line to sign my kids up for school this spring.

He doesn't cook competitively.

I explained at that price that's a life long commitment.

My $750 kamado grill (2011 prices) is a life long commitment.

$32k to portable barbecue outdoors is.... something different.

Not judging- I know people with more than that in a SXS on tractor tires just so they can go get stuck in mud while shitfaced 3 or 4 times a year.

Remodeled/ing a room that soaked up way more money than expected, even doing everything myself.

Building a buggy, which is a money pit if I can’t afford to haul it anywhere to wheel it. :homer:

But after these two projects plan is to pay off the house as quickly as possible, and hopefully when the adjoining 12 acres is up for sale I can levy against my home, and build a 900 sq. ft. retirement home there. Plan is to AirBNB it out until retirement.

Shots fired!
Texas is a big place... "here" could be some shit hole town of 2500 with mediocre BBQ while good stuff is 30 miles away.

If he's talking about Texas in general and somehow doesn't like brisket then he's a gay offering up his opinion of pussy. What he's saying should be ignored as it's not applicable.

:flipoff2:

Does grocery shopping and getting gas count?
