Oh that looks good on 37s :smokin: I'd like to someday dive back into mine and set it up for some larger tires. 33s are nice, but....

Have been driving my Willys to work 100 miles round trip each day for the past few months in this hell heat. No cooling problems with the jeep though!

:smokin:

Details please. I like that.

This is my first vehicle...got it when I was 14. Been a lifetime on and off project. It gets used pretty hard from cutting wood to wheeling.
Early 1946 CJ-2A "Sorta" stock, but worked over a little bit everywhere!
Engine = L134ci 4 cyl, bored 0.80" over, head milled 0.110" to increase compression
Transmission/Transfer = T-90/Spicer 18 w/factory rear PTO (Originally was a 3 on the tree, but I never saw it in that configuration)
Axles = Front Dana 25, Rear Dana 41 both 5.38's & locked, front trussed w/11" drum brakes
Wheels/tires = Later model CJ wheels w/Bart beadlocks, 34X9.50 Swampers
Suspension = Rancho 2.5" CJ-5 lift springs w/shackle reversal front/2.5" Rancho CJ-2A rear
Winch = Ramsey 8000# PTO, driven hydraulically. Hyd pump = GM PS pumped jacked up. Its works great but slow.
Full cage = custom front hoop/CJ-5 Rear hoop
Rocker guards = custom fabbed and tied into front roll cage hoop
Custom fabbed rear rack
Original body w/about 30# of welding wire to put her back to half-ass together

Digging the Pete's pick-up and PJ's flattie. The high flat fenders are kinda groovy...and the winch...ramsey, running PTO or hydraulic? Tall skinny tires rule.

Just got this mess at auction. going to be a mild build for the wife. Any input appreciated. it is been years since i built anything fun and this is actually our first non-Cherokee/Grand Cherokee Jeep ...

1952/53 M38A1 (not sure as to the year yet, still need to run the patent plate #'s)

We have four generations of willys owners here in WA state, grandpa started with a wagon in the 70s, then had a 3B that they wheeled and raced, dad still has his first car which is a 48 we did a new body on and he drove the alcan hwy a few years ago now, I have a 49, and my son has a 48. We also short course off-road race some “flattys” which are custom frames with willys fiberglass bodies. Ours is Cars themed it’s name is lightning Mcjeep and all the graphics are McQueen based.

This one drove the alcan highway from Canada to Alaska and is the Jeep I grew up in wheeling all over Washington and Oregon. My dad got this for his first car at 15 and drove it to high school and his first job, used to drive from Tacoma to Elbe Jeep it and drive it back.

This one is my sons 48 and will stay mostly stock for now.

This one is my 49 I got when I was 15 it’s mostly stock besides a small lift and a Saginaw manual box. Also my crappy trail Cherokee. The flatty will be our “golf cart” at the races for next season.

As it sits now except it has no motor in it since it spun a bearing or two with the 5.7 that's in it in these pics

Been going through and scanning old photos lately, came across this.

This was my first vehicle, 48 CJ2a. Of course it didn't look like this. It ran on 3 cylinders and had one working brake. But I drove it to school and around on the farm for a couple years.
Wasn't dependable enough or fast enought to travel far so it turned into a snow plow and that was about it. Sold it on eBay and some guy from NC came got it and loved it.
