Post up rare, custom, or just plain weird trucks!

TDI harness can go down to less than 10 wires. Single power wire to make them run. The only downside of a Sami swap is how tall they are. That motor was never meant to go over an axle. A dry sump would do wonders for them.

I think a om617 xj or Comanche with a 5 speed would make a real nice driver. Every time fuel starts to goes up I buy a diesel Benz as a hedge, then realize what a miserable turd the tranny is and sell it for more v8ga$

I had the plant record on (i think) a 195/75/14... 600 in a 12 hour shift. I can't go into detail, but on this specific type of machine at this specific place management was pretty sure it was an unverifiable world record. I got a t-shirt and a $10 gift card to a local BBQ joint. A few years later some meth head got 610. Fucking cheater.

I really dislike methheads, but I'd make an exception, hell, I'd sponsor you with some of that blueglass and a 3mo crossfit membership if you want to make a run at it.

I'd feel like one of those rich guys that sponsor's a race horse, or a little league team, I'd fly in on southwest to stand behind the podium in a shirt with a collar while you got your BBQ gift card

I wonder if the other fucker made any progress on his swap.

You're killing my dreams here! Why is that the case? I've been wanting to run a mechanical ALH in my flat fender.
they're very very lightly built, so they don't tolerate the kind of abuse that a mechanical governor can easily provide, the torque limit maps are absolutely necessary, while the smoke limit maps are pretty nice just to keep piston temperatures in check

there's good reason that even a really lightweight cummins b series is like 1200lbs for 200hp, they're getting a fairly reliable 400 or whatever outta the computer governed ones, but that's just the thing, computer magic lets it have the fuel only when it can tolerate the fuel

So you're saying I need to make steel pistons for mine?

still need all the wires to the IP (ten?), all the wires to the go pedal (six?), coolant temp, MAP/MAT...

I usually set my ECUs up with the MAP sensor dangling atmospheric and the smoke maps all done with MAF because it is easier (cheaper) to fuck with MAF than MAP when you're running 70 psi of boost
Tell me more

I got a tdi beetle sitting in the backyard with a bent frame .

And a 4wd 88 S-10 Blazer ……

I saw one of these gay things the other day. A RAM Warlord Apocalypse.

The one below is nicer. The one I saw had a grumper. Typical Yuppies thinking they fit in a ski town.

Edit: $250k base price. :lmao:

offset bowl means they'd need to be printed
I have thought about getting a set made, but just can't bring myself to even look at how much money it'd run

fuel system is the hard limit anyways
rotary pump has computer controlled timing advance which is 100% necessary for low-rpm survival, but limited fuelling at high speed because it's pooping out two squirts of fuel every engine revolution rather than the shot of fuel every other that you get with an inline

pick another engine unless you want it to be slow
and if you want it to be slow, go with a kubota or isuzu anyways, something without a timing belt, an iron head, etc...

Gotcha

Need to get this thing running and sell the engine .

It seems to me from looking around that the engine is worth a lot more OUT of the car than in it .

Lol
It’s like the top gear episode where Clarkston was driving the F-150 lightning with the spare tire mounted in the bed .

“The entire vehicles purpose is to transport its own spare tire .”
