What's new

Post a picture of where you are right now.

Not if it’s an old used u joint. Torch wrench removal it is.

Im goona go out on a limb an say I change a few more Ujoints in a month than you do:laughing:

Sometimes yea a torch is whats needed. But most the time on those ag shafts and the toyota stuff. A few whacks on the yoke at the base of the ear will get the cap walking out on its own. Goes pretty quick that way....

For a tool hoarder I am wondering why dont you own an arbor press?

And you’d be surprised at how many u joints I’ve replaced in my lifetime too, not just AG or Toyota but a ton of other stuff as well. As much as you? I’m sure not close as it’s never been my primary job. I’ve built a hoard of driveshafts (for me and my old off road crew plus) when the local place refused to build them to my specs - heavy wall tubing. It’s not rocket science by any stretch of the imagination. You tear down an older front diff like a D44 or D60 and want to keep the old shafts for whatever reason, you’re not pressing the joints out of them at all. It’s faster to burn em out and then the bearing caps come out much easier as the heat bust the rust holding them in.

I own an arbor press but I use a ball joint press for installation of u joints.

Wife's been too dang busy lately to help me bleed brakes so came to borrow a power bleeder from my buddy.

Is (or used to was) the RR quarter of that Galaxie smashed? My uncle gave me his old car when I was a teenager. I was gonna fix it up but sold it instead. :mad3:

I swear that could be my car. The patina is identical to my memories.

The floor tile just keeps on going up the bath tub walls too. Probably would’ve done the ceiling but ran out of discount shelf tiles :flipoff2:

So Greg!!!!!!! How much is the monthly rent gonna be on this awesomeness pad? Slab home or basement? Garage? Any yard with it? Nosy Karen neighbor tossed in too?
