Where did you find them if you care to share? I want a couple to use as lights hanging from the ceiling in the bar area at the hanger, but I don't really want to pay $400 plus shipping to ak for something that I'm going to cut the nose off of. Although I do have some F-4 phantom drop tanks I guess I could trade, don't need to build another pontoon boat :laughing:

A local friend had one. 300 is the going rate.
 
So I brought this home to play with, since I am buried with work at work.

I have too many projects, but I started wiring up the engine. Will get the body harness in when it starts getting cold. Have projects in the driveway, too.

Ride height. Also moved the fenders forward a bit, will build spacers and longer steps.

Started fitting seats, they will be covered in OD green leather and have seat heaters, since there isn't any HVAC in the car.

Got the Zl1 fuel sending unit in... will build the gas tank soon. I user the Holley mat stuff.

Tired of working on shit though. Too many projects here at home. Need to get rid of a 78 Cherokee Chief on one tons with an LH6 and 4L80E with a D300, etc. Just never going to get to wiring it.

The thing is, I really don't want to work on this. I'd rather be working on my IH project.

Still on it an hour here and an hour there. Got the cold air charge cooler pump mounted. Stupid easy.

Will take pics in a bit. I got the radiator welded up and flush mounted the head lights by using 7" motor cycle head light mounts. They're also lighter and more adjustable.

I'm planning on using those for my front end loader and I want someone else's hard work to copy.
 
I've never screwed around with those kinds of mounts. How do you get the bulb to sit flush-ish (like on the grill of a CJ)? I assume there's a 7" hole for the light and then the adjustable mounting ring mounts on a panel a couple inches behind that panel.

I did spacers to get the head light mounted right, then covered the bolts with the CJ2 headlight rings outside of the grill. I wanted the headlight to have the side beam, so the concave portion of the headlight is still outside of the grill. Everything else is tucked behind the ring.
 
Wow, didn't see that coming. Not my thing, but I would like to see it finished. Hard to sell a project like that. Might be easier to sell the body seperate from the chassis.
