What's new

Patrick the will Crawl

It would be cool to see. Do you have a link or picture. I absolutely love this build. It’s not the best or the fastest. But it’s cool and works pretty good already.
he took 18" out of his cab so its pretty cozy inside. had a build on a local site but its long gone now

That is bad ass. I did 13” out of the middle. And I could have done more. But it’s so hard to know ahead of time. Did you cut your windshield as well. Or use something else for the front windshield.

I’ve been thinking of venting my hood better as well. I do get some heat soaking on days where there is no breeze at all.

Did that make a big difference for you.

buddy had the local glass shop cut a windshield for him.

What a great weekend wheeling in AZ.

Went to my step dads place. And the even got to see my step brother from Florida.

That new 150:1 crawl ratio is just flat out amazing for crawling.

2:1 flys on back roads. And then just all the options for crawling.

Enjoy the clips.

The front axle finally got some well deserved parts.

I ditched the 1995 ball joints and inner axle seals for 2024s. Lol.

Chromoly 35 spline axle shafts up fronts. Nitro hubs. Almost ready for a good weekend in Parker AZ. In 10 days.

What are you running for a tie rod? I have the same front axle for a project and there isn’t much aftermarket for those knuckles when it comes to steering.

I drilled out the knuckles to 3/4” ordered the Barnes 1” offset heims and then a wide open designs tie rod. 1-3/4” to match the heims. I think it was about 280.00 for the aluminum tie rod and Barnes heims.

Works great. The hydraulic ram clamp does get very close to the larger diff cover. But it works good.

I think my aluminum tie rod was 52” long. But for sure measure yours.
