I've had those at my place in Idaho. They've all been outside so far. The ones I've seen are part of the soil now.
Reminds me of a Palo Verde Beetle, only smaller and a different color.

I found a larva coming out of a piece of wood and it looked like the palo verde. IIRC it was over an inch long

About 3/8” across. Last pic is the “feet” I think. Opened up moving about 2-2.5” long
WTF type of caterpillar is it. Western Washington ish about 15 miles west of the PCT

We had Motorolas in the service trucks, office and shop on our own channel until nextel got push to talk.

Same here, took about 6 months of that push to talk BS before I tossed them. When they came out all the contractors had them and seemed to think because it was so convenient to do that everyone would bug you with the stupidest questions all hours of the day and night. Think I still have both bag phones and nextels in a box somewhere.

.

Found this on a towel while working in Florida. Its body is about an inch long.

There were also a bunch of gnats and the dragonflies would swarm them in the middle of the day

I’m also curious to know what these are there was a bunch of them in the hangar.

Tersa Sphinx Moth Surprise!
In late November we rescued this Tersa sphinx moth caterpillar from the top of our trash can. How it got there I’ll never know. We placed it in a safe big aquarium with lots of leaves and sticks. It turned into a pupa shortly thereafter and emerged last week. We released it into the garden and it flew away at dusk. This moth (Xylophanes tersa) is a kind of hawk or hummingbird moth that drinks nectar at night. What a beauty!

you are a fucking madman bro.

You are brave. I will bring wet Qtips to them and drop in front of them. Boyfriend does what your doing to give them water.

why the fuck would you feed it water? KILL IT WITH FIRE!

So do all caterpillars turn into something? Bugs come from caterilars? I thought only moths and butterfliea do?

Killed this big ass spider in my kitchen this morning. I'm not sure what kind of spider it is and doesn't look like the common ones we have around here. Anybody know?

Pictures do the size no justice, this thing was as big as my dogs paw and made a hell of a thump when I tossed it in the trash after smashing it. Yuck!

Edit: Tarantula?

baby tarantula is my guess

baby tarantula is my guess

Mine too. I've only ever seen the tiny tiny tarantula looking ones around here and was pretty shocked when I saw that giant hairy thing in the middle of my kitchen floor.

So if it's a baby there is a good possibility that the giant mom spider is somewhere around here..... Great, now I have to burn the house down. :lmao:

And the possibility that there's another hundred or so baby ones hiding in the walls just waiting to run amok.

:flipoff2:
