The SQ old-school top loader is the bulletproof OG switch-and-timer washer.

The SQ front loaders are technosexy just like a GE, so spendy for "smart" parts.

I've been considering the SQ stackable to replace the shitty Amana set in my rental. The place can only fit a stack and as far as they go, even the fancy SQ set seems like it's better than any of the box store brands.

It seems all the home models have gone to inverters except the TC5 (according to a knowledgable in SQ guy). Commercial I have no idea. There appears to be known bad couple years from the board supplier, since the replacement boards arent known to have issues.

I was looking at new machines on costco and they all had their share of doa/defective/problematic reviews, so I opted to try and fix mine first. Seems even even with newer inverter machines, SQ still need comes out better. I havent taken any other washers or dryers apart in my life, but this came apart very easily and logically, it was not a nightmare to repair in any way. Very accessible and smart.

SQ does give 5 year warranty, but man they are expensive new

They still make and sell the bulletproof simple ones but housewives and the op like fancy

everyone kept saying SQ over and over so i bought an SQ and only now find out the nitty gritty details that there are major differences in machines etc. You think I knew this when buying it? I just saw a stacked SQ from 2017 for 550 bucks and ran with it. Not once before my purchase did I see anyone badmouth SQ and differentiate between them

Funny l, thats exactly what I thought. Went to the fancy appliance store and imediatly thought "these look just like all the other fancy garbage" and had t9 ask for the dumb model.
