Moon Rocks and lobster boy

Hospital pics dude looked pretty scrawny, probably some other Memorial Day fireworks victim.

Not sure if it’s reliable, but I heard they saved the thumb & at least one finger.

Also, you can see text on the mouse pad or whatever to the left. The words are not flipped, makes me think that's a right hand.

There is a good video on reddit in WTF. If you Google reddit moonrocks it should come up.

Fuck man. Dude is disfigured for life. Hope the other person involved pulls through.

Looking back to all the dumb shit we did back in the day, something like that very easily could have happened to one of my freinds. We were usually pretty safe but as the night goes on and the booze brain takes over you can make amazingly poor decisions. Unfortunately this guy has to live with this and someone else got hurt too. Glad it was not any worse

Lots of people think you should tourniquet everything.

I was told that you should only use one when you are bleeding enough that you may bleed out before you get to a hospital and that proper use of one would likely result in that limb being amputated.

Although I'm not a medic and this may or may not be a good use of one. I'm betting no though. Doc still around?
There is one view i saw where it is actually dumping blood, like a continuous stream. Just before the guy puts a tourniquet on

Unless hospital pics are flipped, that's a different person. Dude lost his left hand. Hospital pic shows a right hand

Edit: someone beat me to it

How do you people put on your boots

They now teach a tourniquet isn’t bad like it was years ago and use away

There are plenty of clubs that go down there for memorial weekend, but this area around the butt crack has basically become a party spot. It kinda reminds me of old reiter pit. Big group of wheelers show up and an even bigger massive group of young kids show up to party with dj booth and in Nevada seems not very much weed smoke but tons of hard drugs.. on the fireworks being illegal, believe me that is not enforced in any way, in fact seems the cops dissappear after dark

Sounds like the old gatekeeper or sluice . . . . . Shit had to happen and it did. Almost lost the trail permanently, forever. Cool starry brah.:flipoff:

What you want me to say? Just reporting my experience and its not just shit had to happen and it did.. theres 10 plus years of this, last year dude broke his leg getting bumped off a rock ledge by a rig where he shouldn't have been.. life goes on, worse stuff happens here than idiots with fireworks.. we should rally around freedom to be dumb and restrict gov powers.. your In cali, wa is just as bad, but because 1 dudes an idiot doesn't and shouldn't restrict my rights.. that should be the focus

The Native American tribe was almost give the land Moonrocks was on about four years ago. This would have been awesome to see under THEIR laws. Cops might not have even shown up because Natives have their own cops for Pyramid Lake they could use for this area.

yeah that last video is definitely lobster claw. At least he can still throw hang loose

His real friends should have stopped him 4 hours before this. Younger kids didn’t self police, and a couple of them paid the price.

Dude that took the blast to the chest is still in ICU.

I have never been and never will. I can barely stand Sand Mtn. and it’s 100 classes above Moonrocks.

Huh?

They are all from Auburn, CA.

Based on my friends accident at Sand Mtn. on Oct. he’s more than likely at UNR. That’s a guess but a good one.
I THINK Renown hospital in Reno is the only Tramua center. So if he was in Reno I would expect him to be here, if they moved him out of Reno I’d guess they just sent him to some shitty hospital in California because no insurance means expensive bills. Even IF Renown in Reno
is a “not for profit” hospital. It means they write off debt all year long for tax and accounting purposes.

DIY mechanical hand w cams for different grips. Banana boy's gonna need one. Video-guy even has power tool sockets.

good news
this guy has to explain why he lost his hand, and has to tell the dumb drunk story over and over

worked with a guy that was missing a finger, but it was the finger/hand bone all the way to his wrist if that makes since.
so his hand was 'normal', yet 20% was missing out of the middle

I was high five guy, and would high five the guys as we passed in the hall,
high five, high five, high five, high four, high five

He lost his as a kid living next to the Army base and they would go out and find live rounds, he was disarming one and forgot the disarm part, anyway it boomed and now he can only count to 9

I have a friend who lost a thumb to a mickeys grenade at my buddies cabin. His thumb ended up as fish food in the lake somewhere, very successful equipment operator and he can still ride a twist throttle with the best of us somehow using an underhand grip :lmao:

You mean UNR? That’s where our buddy flew to when he flipped a quad and it landed on his face.

Sadly dude in question is/was an operator.

Guy I work with is missing a finger that got smashed between a truck and a jackstand when he was a teenager.

Every time someone new starts at the shop they eventually get up the nerve to ask what happened and his standard reply is, "Petting zoo, I don't really wanna talk about it". We had the newest service writer convinced for almost a week that it was bitten off by an animal at the fair instead of smashed off by a Dodge.

that dudes hand is way more fucked than the pictures show. He basically has nothing left.

EDIT: click the reddit head to take you to the video, for some reason the forum keeps switching it to {MEDIA} and saying the video is removed
Video doesn't work ..even after clicking the little head
