I know they are, but I don’t understand why. Is a minigun more complicated that a car? Hardly. Are the materials more expensive? I don’t see how and there’s less of them.
Do you ever design something in your mind when you’re try to go to sleep? Tihis is my minigun design.
I get 8 bolt action rifles. Strip off all the wood and mount them on a couple rotating wheels. All the bolts would face outward. Now you get a oval shape hoop that has a track or slot in it. The bolts ride in the slot. As the barrels turn, the bolts go in at the bottom and out at the top. Your bullets would feed in the top and as it rotated they would be chambered. When it gets to the bottom, it fires. As it rotates to the top, the bolt comes back and ejects the shell right before the next bullet comes down.
So for the price of 8 guns, I would have most of the machine. I suppose if I buy 8 identical rifles, I can meet an ATF agent. Lol.
