Cool, on a recent trip through Idaho got to see the tail end of a porcupine, was hoping it would sit still cause I wanted to check it out…from a distance.
and my brother in law arrived last night for a visit. Total city boy so he is way out of his element here.
I’m really not though. Born and raised in upstate NY on a 28 acre horse farm. We used to breed race horses and was good friends with the son of a dairy farmer up the road. Spent a lot of time on his cow farm too. Loved on a 32 acre farm in northeast Ohio too. I’m probably even years between country life and city/suburb life.Lol go a chuckle out of this. Your both city slickers. It will take a few years for that tag to come off.

Maybe he should get a house farther back from the road! AMG is probably his maids carafter that we swung by Bull Moose in Bangor for my brother in law. He’s a music junkie and loves old vinyl. Then we finally went and checked out Stephen Kings place.
pretty Sure he was home too. Mercedes AMG in the driveway and the gate was open. Kinda feel bad for him really. Few other people there taking pics in front of his gates. That’s gotta suck having people coming by constantly to look at your house.
According to Google they don't even live there anymore, it's a writers retreat and they spend their time in another house in Maine and Miami.Took the kids and bro in law out for some fun today. The wife found this place online on the other side of Bangor. The Treworgy Family Orchards. I guess every year they do these huge crazy corn mazes that look like different things when viewed from the air. So we all piled in the truck and went to check it out. This years. Are there was Charlottes Web
and yes, the entrance was at Wilburs nose and the exit was, well, pretty damn close to its ass. They also had 6 quiz checkpoints thru the maze you had to find to scratch off and complete cards that could then be redeemed for a free ice cream. Pretty cool. They also had apple picking, a huge pumpkin patch, flowers to pick, hay rides, etc. the kids had a great time. Didn’t pick any apples though as we still have a bu ch from last time we went a few weeks ago.

That actually makes me feel better. I thought I was just doing a shit job stacking it. When it’s all filled out this spot under the mezzanine should be 5 rows deep floor to the bottom of the mezzanine.
I hear they make pills for that now
Rotate the tapered pieces so the larger end is toward you
I went there once to visit my cousin. Few of us went to the track. I left there with a couple thousand. I was nailing it with the races. Never done it in my life. Not really sure what I was doing, but it was awesome. Lotta hotties there too.My home town lol

Nice. I really was poking around for throwing knives when I found this combo set with the hatchets. looked fun so I snagged it. Part of that buying crap I couldn’t living in CA thing.FYI - the Harbor Freight $6 hatchets work for throwing too after a sharpen, mine hang on a hook on the back of the shed. They'd probably split a round like that though, more mass than yours
Dude... Weeds, kill them. Holy shit a few min every month with round up and your walk would look way betterBeen working outside most of the day today. Bucking up and splitting more firewood and stacking it. Raised the FEL and climbed up in it with the pole saw to cut back some branches overhanging our power line where it comes into the meter. Continued clean up and work in the kids play area, etc.
at one point I was taking a break in the garage with a cold one when the wife came out and said there was an animal in the front yard but she couldn’t tell what. So I went and had a look. Ugly ass female turkey. She was all by herself which is odd. I haven’t seen any on their own yet. Anyway over the next ten minutes or so she just ambled on up the front yard and practically came right up to the door. Wife and the boy were fascinated to watch her rooting around for food.
man they are a seriously ugly bird.
and no I didn’t shoot her. Not sure if they are in season or not and she was kind of on the small side. Probably not more than 8 or 10 lbs.
yeah I need to reload my string trimmer so I can knock that stuff down. Maybe tomorrow I’ll hit that up. Getting due for another mow too.Dude... Weeds, kill them. Holy shit a few min every month with round up and your walk would look way better
I had a chain wrapped around it for some on tractor storage. Wrapped around both the top and bottom bar. Well one end popped off while I was using it one day and I guess it got caught under the front tire which compressed the chain and bent the bar. It was actually way worse. I straightened it out quite a bit with a high lift jack. How did you smash the brush guard on the new tractor?
The old rule of thumb is that a cord is 4'x4'x8' stacked.Well we are in full peak fall foliage around here. It’s drop dead fucking gorgeous! Driving home from a trip to Home Depot yesterday and graham lake was like a piece of glass, reflecting the foliage around the banks. Truly breathtaking. Even right out my front door.
today I finally finished stocking my garage firewood pile. Not really sure what the cord measurement is, but this space is 8’ deep, 8’ high, and I think about 7 or 8’ wide. Packed and stacked to the top all the way back. Now I’m loading up the crawl space in the boiler room and will start stuffing the stall in the pole barn.

This is what they make round up for.......Don't cut weeds in walk ways.
Pull them.
Cutting them with a trimmer just spreads em around.
