Magnitude 205 and 300 by Total Metal Innovations

Tyler@TMI Is the pricing for the 300 going to be similar to the 205?
$1899 for the 300
$1999 for the 205

We just lowered the pricing on the 205 as we have negotiated better material pricing as our volume has gone up.

We will be sending emails out today to those who have notified us they are interested in a 300.

Doesn't really matter to me, as long as it's divorced and passenger side drop. I plan to use all new LoMax stuff in it.

Tyler@TMI agree?
As far as getting my hands on a divorced unit it shouldn’t matter which, I probably only need the input cluster but would really like to see the entire divorced case.

Grendel I don’t think the Lomax will work with a stock style divorced input. Might have to make something custom to accommodate the input gear. I have a few ideas how to potentially make it work.

Not sure I really need the LoMax in a tow rig. . Truck is a Duramax, Allison 6 speed, divorced 205 to Ford F350 axles with 4.30's.

I agree with that. The post I replied to you mentioned using all new LoMax stuff so I was unsure.

Yeah, that's me backing off it, as I really don't know. Nice to have, not need to have.

Got the email, a few questions still on the 300, other than price being answered here.

Does the 300 work with Tera 4:1 gears as well?

Have you tested the case with NWF’s EcoBox integrated version, or do you see any reason the EcoBox wouldn’t integrate into your case?

Is the case designed around shift cables or linkage? I assume shifting setup is up to buyer to figure out, but what else would I be looking at to get it shifted?

I think you’ve answered in this thread, but what’s the weight savings compared to a stock 300?

Basically wondering what my all in cost would be to make the switch if I have an already assembled 300

Honest answer I do not know. I haven't been able to get my hands on any of the Tera 4:1's, the Magnitude 300 will work with Lomax 4:1 from JB Conversions.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't fit, but it hasn't been mated to the Magnitude 300.

Currently, users will have to create shifters themselves. The shift rails have a 1/4" through hole intended for a rod end, and while they are heat treated can be drilled. We have drilled them to 3/8" and a 3/8" rod end will fit. JB Custom Fabrications will have a cable shift interface kit shortly.

Magnitude 300 with 1310 yolk front and rear stock ratio gears, stock shafts, and the long stock rear output is ~75 lbs.

We recommend a rebuild kit to freshen up your bearings and seals, otherwise your 300's guts would fit.

so. can this 205 be used with my ORD magnum underdrive? i think no because this is how it mounts to the front of my 205 fig 8 pattern not the round. but i needed to ask thanks

If you are comfortable drilling and tapping 5 holes into a new Magnitude 205. That is what we did to assemble this "race track 8" Magnum Underdrive in Peter Haag's rig. I have some photos from the top side of the case and I just asked him if he would snap some photos from the bottom. If you are interested in doing this, I would talk you through what needs to be done. Doing it this way gives you almost unlimited clocking options.

Here is a top side photo of Peter’s 8 bolt Magnum and Magnitude 205.

i am kind of interested for sure keep you posted

I'll be at W.E.ROCK Goldendale tomorrow Saturday, July 27th with a Magnitude 205 and 300. I will not be vending at this event, so you must track me down. I'll be wearing some Magnitude apparel. Feel free to stop by and chat if you see me!

My first TMI case is rocking. 32 spline in/out big assed flanges and 4:1 By JB Conversions, built by John at JB. JB Conversions Rotation Plate is some really interesting engineering, in that it replaces the front output retainer and indexes into the 300 case and 6L80E while providing a lot of clocking.

Of course, the TMI case also clocks, but I needed 5/8" spacer to clear the factory 6L80E 4wd housing and 32 spline output shaft.

No case flex here....

Grendel, was it you who posted earlier in this thread about shifters? If not, what are your plans for those?

Twin stick shouldn't be hard.

I am talking with Jon at JB Fab, who's done a few of the stainless set ups for me. He's working on an interface to the shifters already in my CJ8.

so if I need all the D300 guts I can just call JB conv? Or thats what it's sounding like?
