I’ve heard that as well. Same bolt face as the 7.62x39 ARs.don't they break AR bolts when loaded to full pressure?

I'm shooting factory loaded Hornady 123gr SST, running a ToolCraft BCG and have about 1000 rds through it with zero issues.don't they break AR bolts when loaded to full pressure?
Why is 5/8x24 the go to threading on the .22 creedmoor? Its a .22, so I would think 1/2” would be more common but all the profits I’ve looked at default to 5/8”.This Benchmark blank will become a 22 Creedmoor for a Lone Peak Fuzion. It’ll be used with thermal and a suppressor for coyote duty.

scuttlebutt is that american grendel is loaded light
how flat do the primers get?
not nearly flat enough for my eye
Not a noticeable amountscuttlebutt is that american grendel is loaded light

thought we were talking about 'flatter shooting than 223'
so why not wring out all the beer that got spilled in the carpet instead of just some small portion of it?
224 valk has entered the chatYou could. I just dont think you will ever get it out of a 6.5 grendel. A smaller bullet, it might be kinda cool though.
Currently shooting ar-15 16” barrel, carbine gas system in .223 wylde 1:8 twist. 55 grain vmax hand loads going 2850 fps.Got the impression the OP isnt running an AR. Options are limitless
264win mag with a lil 123gr eld and all the powder
well shit sounds like you need a 24" barrelCurrently shooting ar-15 16” barrel, carbine gas system in .223 wylde 1:8 twist. 55 grain vmax hand loads going 2850 fps.

get those things going 3400 at least
No. If I wanted that I’d shoot .30-06 or .375 h&h or 7mm rem mag.
The only coyote that I have ever shot was with a .257 Weatherby.264win mag with a lil 123gr eld and all the powder
5/8-24 is by far the most common for bolt actions. Rimfires and ARs, sure, 1/2-28 is more common. Why is 5/8x24 the go to threading on the .22 creedmoor? Its a .22, so I would think 1/2” would be more common but all the profits I’ve looked at default to 5/8”.
They can. I carry an extra bolt for my 6 ARC, due to the same problem. No breakage yet, but the lugs are attached to a very thin wall to accommodate the larger diameter of the case.don't they break AR bolts when loaded to full pressure?
Was doing hunter sight in at the club years ago and had a guy come through with one...at the time, had never see a .257...impressive, but even 10 years ago it was like $100 for a box of 20The only coyote that I have ever shot was with a .257 Weatherby.
Was gonna ask your opinion of 6ARC...been wanting to do another build in something other than 5.56...been toying with that, or 6x45...Several of the guys I shoot "Accurized AR" matches, (PRS style stages but with gas guns), are using 6ARC, including myself. Typically we use 105 Bergers or 108 Hornaday ELD-M's, but the guys that are hunting yotes are using 87 or lighter and they say that they knock down the animals no problem out to 400yds. Another guy that I shoot with and who is also a smith, built a bolt gun for his 13yo daughter for PRS comps, she's under 100bs soaking wet, so getting a low recoil cartridge was very important, and she does well considering this is only her second season.

The big advantage of 6ARC over .223 is past 700. My 105g Berger Hybrid AR load has the same amount of drop at 1k as my 147g 6.5CM bolt gun. Neither is loaded especially hot. I'm running a 22" Shaw barrel. Was gonna ask your opinion of 6ARC...been wanting to do another build in something other than 5.56...been toying with that, or 6x45...
I think there’s room to go fasterwell shit sounds like you need a 24" barrel

read about that a long time ago, back when it was all on dead trees lolor 6x45...
220 russian too normie of an option for him?I know a guy that is going to build a 22ARC, but it's not done yet.
more barrel length is free speed thoughI think there’s room to go faster
Too Russian. I don't know about the shoulder angle, maybe it's better with ARC, or it's the whole 6.5 Creedmoor is the bestest ever, while over in the corner .260 Rem quietly raises it's hand.read about that a long time ago, back when it was all on dead trees lol
problem with it is that you end up with the neck on the ogive of any midrange or heavier bullet

more barrel length is free speed though
quieter, too
"it's free real estate"
Already too long with the suppressor on the end.read about that a long time ago, back when it was all on dead trees lol

Blasphemy.rifles with 24" barrels should come with a free hacksaw
