I did this one too.
Probably a 48 bar or something because nobody on the west coast is capable of using a bar smaller than the tree and making two cuts line up.
Same level here. This one’s no good, at least at the base.
WHAT?!
HE SAID ITS VERY LOUD IN HERE.What?
HE SAID ITS VERY LOUD IN HERE.
I love the 2 stroke detroits. Turning dinosaur squeezings into noise with a horsepower byproduct or over 50 years. Great thread.
has it been that beneficial to make it worthwhile after repairs/diesel costs?
I’ve been raking the forest. Seems to me that someone advised us to do that, so I’m getting it done. This isn’t a wide brush rake like they put on dozers, but it’s working.
crack it open, it's a big assed dinosaur eggHad to move this rock, I think it was gonna divert runoff water onto the pad. A landscaper friend estimated it at 8-10 tons.
Worst idea ever...crack it open, it's a big assed dinosaur egg
I think so.
Its part of the way already! Jurassic Park coming to a city near you!crack it open, it's a big assed dinosaur egg
Na naaaa na na na naaaaa na na naaaaa naaanansaaaaaaaaacrack it open, it's a big assed dinosaur egg

Don’t forget, there is a lot of value in the satisfaction of doing something yourself. New skills and knowledge. As well as being out in nature (even if you’re crushing it)
Exactly, the sound of that Detroit. Whats the operating costs of such equipment vs what you get out of it at your property. I.e. has it been that beneficial to make it worthwhile after repairs/diesel costs?

Great points.Fixing it up is its own reward, the fact you can use it around that yard is a bonus!
Meh, if it doesn't pencil out, write off fuel costs (and hearing damage) as entertainment expenseI was mainly thinking about part and operations costs for something that big.
It is coming from someone who loves to run them because they don’t run one everyday.Said nobody who has ever been stuck running one for days on end
Just a question. Hence the ?shut up
I'd talk to your landscaper friend a bit. Some of them yard nerds pay good money to have a big ass stupid rock in their yard. Might sell for more n you think
Worst idea ever...
So what exactly are you doing there when "raking" the forest? Just cleaning up the detritus to reduce risk of fire spread?
Run over some tree huggin hippies and that'd be the highlight of my year.
