If you bored through the dam & shoved a ~20' drain pipe through; would the fuzzy free-range aqua-tweakers figure out the leak 10 feet away?

Probably a dumb question^, but I've never battled a beaver:homer:.

Umm, to clarify: I've never battled a literal beaver

EDIT: I might be onto something

Revision 2.0 - pound ~5 or so 20' lengths of 3/4" galvanized pipe through the dam and make the fuzzy assholes try to figure out & plug that clusterfuck:laughing:. If you're not unaliving the beavers, all you have to do is ruin their ability to stop the creek.

Yes that is a "beaver deceiver" need a big basket/cage over the ends, but they are supposed to work

Haven't looked up how to thwart beavers, but I edited and added an idea: multiple pipes so even if they know about it, they may not have a way to mitigate your fuckery

If it's a ways from the dam, the inlet and outlet, they don't seem to see the leak. Just need to keep crap out. 3 6" is prob enough? Idk really

And my wife reminded me the dam. Is technically on the neighbors property. Fawk. I still have one or two on mine also. Just smaller.

Anyone an older arctic cat expert?

580 exc (late 90's) runs good, but something is wrong in the belt/clutch. Give it gas and belt just smokes. Was working fine for a couple years. I did run it hard thru a big snow bank and it was never the same after.

Maybe something in the clutch or trans frozen?

Probably needs a belt?

Like said, check the belt. If they get worn down it's like trying start off in 3rd gear. They are a wear item. While old belt is off, the large secondary clutch should be relatively easy to spin the track over with by hand, if not it may have something bound up or a bad bearing.

It moved fine then didn't?

I'll swap the belt out and see what it does. When it's off I'll try to spin secondary. I want to say it was able to be rocked back and fourth last time I checked.

You can have a oil heater on an air-cooled motor.
well yeah but I've never seen one
my imagination tells me it'd be about as useful as the 200w stick on silicone oil pan heaters that VWs got (basically just a waste of electric)
