Java does a Cabin

That's why pellet stoves suck. All the inconvenience of a wood stove, and electric heat combined!

Here's hoping you can get a proper woodstove for next season!
Meh they work well when you want constant low heat.....

I don't really want a stack for a stove.... It got ripped off once.

I keep forgetting, you the guy with the treehouse thing going on?
if so, then just brace the fuck outta a normal class A pipe

and have it penetrate the roof near the peak rather than down where it'll have a bunch of snow hitting it at speed
reduces the necessary stickout, too

Yes tree house.

Running pipe to peak. Is a pain, have loft for 2nd story.

run cheap single wall pipe as far as you can, sounds like you can do two floors worth if there's a good straight shot, then switch to class A where it pokes through
plop the stove directly under where the flue's gonna poke through

It's a single pitch roof. I can get maybe 8' of single wall, then it would have to run at a 22 degree angle inside a bay to get to the high side.

easy enough to make one that wont get ripped of. helped with allot of wood a diesel stove on boats. and on treehouse. have always used 16g wall stainless or thicker aluminum. doesn't have to be 'stove pipe'

but sounds like minds made up. ups sounds like the ticket

It was 6" (maybe 8?) stainless duravent. With a big V above it. I still have it :lmao:

So far the pellet is working. Definitely has some down sides, but so far it's OK. UPS does sound like the ticket. I just need to figure out how big of one I really need.

Or extend it higher outside. It doesn’t have to exit at the peak
No peak, all single pitch. And it's at the low end..... But yes if it was higher up there would be less weight and velocity to hit the stack

Another 16" of fresh stuff.

UPS is tucked into the corner by the recycle bins. According to the data sheet it should run the stove (without the ignitor) for a couple hours. But in reality I assume it's much less. All I need is a shut down cycle tho!

And my snowmobile is running shitty. Hits Rev limiter at half throttle ish... Feel like one cylinder isn't running well. Left looking from the front, pull plug and it idles down a little, but not much compared to the other cylinder.....

At speed it kinda feels like a belt slapping.... But belt is good.

Ugh. Maybe power valve or reeds?

But it's deep and soft! Wife got good and stuck 🤣 I almost did too. Boot on one foot does not help moving weight side to side.

Polaris 700 liberty engine.... Both cylinders and exhaust area was same temp.

First start in the am. Not sure if it's a weird angle of if that one cyl isn't doing nearly as much. The power valve may babe been blocking it a bit.

It did idle down pretty equally unplugging plug wires this morning....

No helmet, I can hear the fuel pump? Maybe that's not normal?

What do the plugs look like? With the cold temps I would look at water/ice in the tank and lines too.

I was talking thru it with a Co worker and he said maybe water also. It is ethanol. For storage I run no worries eth, but when it's getting used up fast I run pump gas. Way easier to stop at the gas station! Lol

The first time it just felt like to was falling on it's face. Last time it was feeling like Rev limiter.

Dump a bunch of stabil or seafoam in it?

Lots of little misc things this past weekend.

I reminded myself how to use cad and designed and printed a thing! It adapts a computer fan to a 4" duct so I can add a bit of venting to the container. My 4 1/8" hole saw was dull AF, so it doesn't fit quite right yet.... But Ill fix that next weekend.
