I have inner air locks, I've only done 6-8 rides but they do work well. I wanted the Coyotes as he has a slick idea for airing down but it was just too much $$$ for me knowing that I would be moving to 17" within a year ( I'm 15x10 rims) .

I wonder if you could do the tire in a tire thing like JR4X does with his race tires? Then technically you would have internal double beadlocks and a run flat at the same time...

Heavy, and requires a wheel that works with that setup, and/or tubes (how inner air, staun, coyote, etc. do it). Easiest way to get there is usually a wheel with a large inner bell and an add-on outer beadlock that leaves the original outer bead seat in place, which will be "fun" with the "31's on a Subaru" steering/geometry.

IIRC, JR4X has actual liners, which are lighter than the literal old tires I did that with, so a little less weight than my implementation, but still not "light". Nascar also uses (used? I've not tried to steal their tech in a long time) liners on non-lock wheels at the Cup level, believe they run 15" wheels too, but getting Cup car level parts has been difficult before.

I found stauns to be too fragile for stuff like KOH, but considering how much more fragile an entire Subaru is than a 4400 car, it might be a workable balance. Could be close on having enough room for aired-down tire squat within 31's.

Bump on if anyone is running the coyote or the inner air lock style setups. I want to use my H2 wheels with 42x13.50r17 mickey thompson mud terrains. Setup will be on a 1 ton full size rig and mostly mud, snow and some rock crawling.

I know a bunch of people don't like dealing with them but wanted some honest feedback. Less than 800 for 4 is way cheaper then buying beadlocks. I want to run super low pressure for the Sierra cement in the winter time.

Any tips or tricks that anyone would want to share?

I've been running inner air locks from Shawn since he first offered them. I like them.
Favorite part that I like is when I'm at the dunes for a week and airing up and down I'm only airing up/down 1/3 of the 42" tire. Inner 2/3 will remain at 25psi. I run my tires at 4psi for sand and slightly higher for rock etc.

They can be a bitch to install. 16" wheels take me 1 night each and are super tuff as there is no room to work. 20" wheels I can do a whole set in a night with almost no tools or drama.
