I did not quit drinking

Tried that peanut butter whiskey when I got home, not terrible and not great at the same time. Would try again for the science.

Surprised this thread didn't get bumped during amateur hour I mean St Patty's. Cheers

I tried some Skrewball out on Tuesday. It was really, really, really sticky sweet. I really wanted to like it.

Not sure if it’s sold outside NM since it’s a local distillery, but I tried Taylor Garett whiskey. I read an article in the local rag about how it’s a local place and uses a patented method of quick aging it that requires less barrel time etc.

It was like drinking turpentine:barf: I would not recommend it, So NM peeps if you see it just keep walking.

When it comes to (especially) bourbon, I choose to leave it to the experts. The experts are generally in Kentucky and Tennessee and they've been doing it for centuries. Nobody gets good at something that takes ten years to age in five years. Add in quick aging and fuck all that noise :barf:

There's a distillery near Seattle I tried a few years back, and it wasn't very good either. They do sell a nice whiskey barrel aged maple syrup that's pretty nice tho :grinpimp:

I’ve had some good whiskeys and bourbons out of TX as well.

I kind of get their point in doing what they did. There’s a lot of overhead and time involved in the process and you may not even be in business in 10-15 years that it takes to properly age it. But the final product TG had will keep me from ever buying their shit again.

Gonna go get some Bourbon-Kentucky made- first I will have had since I got broken.

I have a pool for the hot days and a kegerator. it gets me through these miserable AZ summers.
