How long is reasonable to wait on a shop?

youre screwed. my buddy took a low mile 91 3/4 suburban to a guy to put a 4bt in it. he finally got a judgement against the guy but never saw his burb again. we went and spent all day dealing with the guy, and ended up coming home with the 350 out of it, and the 4bt. both had been set out in the rain til they locked up solid. and dude gave him a 16ft enclosed trailer, which maybe covered the cost of the 4bt originally.

Really? If you can’t get it back it’s stolen. No wonder you are two years out on this bs.
Nope. Not even close. He handed over the vehicle. It is not a criminal matter unless the shop owner sold it. In which case it would be conversion, still not stealing it. But in reality, the cops wont file charges ever. They will tell knate its a civil matter because they are lazy and they know there is no chance of conviction.

And he's too dumb to understand what a mechanics lien is and how it works
WTF is he posting on here about what to do anyway?!? How about wind the clock back and get your shit a year and half ago. :shaking:

No idea where it's at now. Shop is closed up so he brought it home. Which i ok'd, but no idea where that is.

I don’t understand how you could let this happen. First thing to do is call and say you need to measure some stuff on the truck. Or maybe you need to look at the alternator to see if it’s the same as one you are about to buy. Whatever the reason doesn’t matter, just so he can’t say I’ll look for you or measure for you. You could even say you have a guy that wants to pay big money for it and he wants to see it. So of course you need the location. You can act like it’s no big deal about the delay at this point. (Or that you’re getting mad) If he refuses, prepare to go postal and use whatever to find him.

Assuming he gives you the location, I would check out the situation for taking it back. Maybe you going there gives him the kick he needs to work on it. Whatever the case, scope it out for taking it the next time you go there. For example , bringing a flatbed or tow truck. Maybe some cutters for chain link fence, whatever.

Then give him a week or so and depending on the situation, show up with the means to take it. After you have possession, file the small claims case. Good luck.

Oh pleeeze nagga...

Tell use all you know and we'll find him.

Wasn’t there a thread like this one before? Like here or at the old place which is a mirror of this one?

I really hope you're trolling us and this is some kind of spinoff thread none of us gets. If its not, well.........
Nope, look at the timeline. He is fooked. :lmao:

He left way too much on the table and got fucked.

Or...he's a bitch.

Cause if it were mine I'd of got it back come hell or high water and never made a thread...cause...well, you know. :smokin:

Ask the location of the truck. If you don't get the correct answer let them know you are reporting it as stolen and him the thief.

He will probably hit you with storage fees. I doubt you have a Unimog anymore.
At his house.

The where isn't important. Getting it done is. It's not stolen.

How's that working out?

And...I would consider it stolen if he doesn't give you an address. I know you won't and don't. that's cool, he will get to it so the answer to your question is 3-4 years.
