Full time wheeling & Travel

TaltonOffRoad I appreciate the honesty/candor of what you share both on the YouTube channel and your thoughts on here too. I can definitely see how all that effort to recover and re-edit that video makes things tough/easy to lose interest.

I'd imagine/hope that getting back out on the road/wheeling in your "normal life" will help some with the interest in sharing/allowing us to tag along with your adventures. Been a rough patch (to say the least) of the last few months for y'all which hurts min many facets (mental/emotional/physically), as well as hurts with "creating content that you deem worthy to share".

Saw this today. It reminded me of you guys, if you weren't cool.

Sarcasm and 4x4 makes anything betterer.

TaltonOffRoad heres some tow rig and buggy inspiration for ya :smokin:

Yeah Arkansas does not have a good track record for us!
There was more to that trip, but I left it out of the video to keep it short.... That place was crawling with SxS and Duck Jeeps. There were 2 different Jeep clubs there that week, the duck Jeep folks were weird and looked at me and my buggy like I had 2 heads. But they collect ducks so I'm not surprised.

When we returned from the hospital, there was a group of hard core buggies on the other side of me. WOD, Jimmy's, M&M and a really built TJ all in Sundowners, ATCs and a Class A motorhome. I was so excited, I told the wife "Our people have arrived!"
She obviously could not ride but said "Maybe you can ride with them tomorrow". So after getting the wife settled I introduced myself, excited to meet my new camp neighbors. It became very apparent they already knew who I was and was not interested in hanging out or riding .
One guy however, Nathan was super nice however I will say that.

That's all good and something I have to get used to since I share my life on the internet. That is the strange thing: meeting people that already "know me" but I don't know them at all. Although it's usually not negative like that. That's okay, we ain't everyone's cup of tea so I get it.

I didn't bother taking the buggy off the truck anymore after that and we left early to get to RMR, where I ran into dozens of "our people" and had the best week I've had on this entire 2 year journey so far!

Current times-Hanging out in Deadwood, SD right now. Yesterday I met up with 2 randoms from the internet that responded to a post to show me around. It was everything I hoped it would be. Good wheeling, great company, lots of laughs and new friendships made. I love South Dakota and look forward to coming back here for a month or so next time to really get to explore all that this area has to offer.
Overall the off road community continues to be amazing and I meet the most awesome folks along the way.

Stinks on the interactions but glad you are enjoying your time in the Black Hills.

Small world on that group though as I have known “Tall Nate” (the guy you met) for a long time. He truly is a super nice guy and happy to wheel with anyone, I’d say some of the group didn’t want to be YouTube famous.

I’d gladly wheel with you as long as you promised to not show any of my camera awkwardness or bad driving :lmao:

Most people would probably be shocked how much I wheel and never touch the camera lol.
I wheeled with a killer group of guys out in West Virginia. Showed them around and we had a blast, never even took the GoPro on the trail.
Totally understandable there. Your filming method seems minimally invasive, which is nice.

Some YouTube wheeling channels have to spend 10x the amount of time moving cameras then they do actually wheeling.

Another good one!

Thank you! That was one of best wheeling weeks ever. I had so much fun, nothing but great people everywhere. The kind of place where you could wander into any camp and immediately be friends. If you had a need and anyone else had the part, it was yours. Can't wait to go back next year.

That’s awesome! People can really make a great trip that much more better.

Cool man

IIRC you mentioned heading to Colorado. If you end up near the north central mountains and need anything, I will do what I can to help.
