What's new

Freiburgers you tube channel

Thoughts on Vice Grip garage? I watch it here and there but don't understand how it's so big. Every episode is "I bought a dirty pile full of rat shit: let's see if I can get it running and drive somewhere" while spitting out witty(?) stuff like "Just gotta spray this zippity zapper into the carbooberator and give it the old hoo haaa"
Derek was funny for about the first 15 minutes, then it all starts to sound the same. Besides that, I have a pet peeve about listening to someone who makes as much money as he does complain about the price of a $15 part.

I saw vgg recently for the first time. Chappelle back halved a truck for him. Dave said his subs went through the roof.

I didn’t catch the weird talk, but I was on daves channel.

VGG makes me want to punch something, just get to the damn point and stop with the fucking stupid gibberish.

I like finnegan on roadkill but not a huge fan of his channel, too many sticks in the fire so to speak.

you should watch an episode of zip ties and bias plys

hes the OG VGG, hes also the unhinged and r-rated version :smokin:

Dave Chapelle and Tony Angelo are the only Motortrend leftovers putting out much content I'm consistently interested in.

I like Finnegan okay, but I don't care in the slightest about jet boats and I'm not going to watch him open the mail for an hour. His new shop lackey is a dud, didn't think he could do worse than the first one.

Tony has some neat tangible projects, Sickclone (DIY budget GMC Syclone) was one of my favorites. The helper dude's D100 with the Chinese turbo on the slant 6 was fun too. I don't know that free Aston Martin V12 is really tangible for most folks, but I'm stoked to see that thing in a Foxbody, and I don't even like Mustangs. I'm not thrilled about the execution of the '55 Chevy with the SB2 in it, hopefully they'll finish all the loose ends, clean it up, put a hood on it, and at least make it all one color.

Dave's subwoofer box build was comically bad, but I can let an episode like that slide every now and then, the others are usually good. His own commentary about how bad and wrong it was while he was building it almost made up for it just for the LoLs. He's got plenty of talent elsewhere. Wish I was more stoked about the double ended JK, I thought it was dumb originally, and don't like it any better now.

VGG is okay if you tune out the cutesy jargon. As others have mentioned, his shtick gets old quick. I enjoy the projects he does with his kid though.

I've always found Freiburger off putting, smart dude no doubt. I think he's a fish out of water on camera, he's better than the early days of Roadkill, but still, just not quite there. I think he was purpose built for magazine writing. That said I really enjoyed Engine Masters dyno testing components and "race tricks."

Haven't watched much of Fred in a while. I got tired of the OnX infomercials. That's maybe not fair to him, as I just fast forward through those parts on the Mormons' channels.

VGG sliced out a bunch of his own slang. I’m happy for him and his family. I don’t really enjoy his channel as much as others. I think Chappell’s channel is way underrated

For those who don’t know, the double ended JK is no more. It already got cut in half. Dave posted a pictures of parts in the dumpster.

Redneck Albertan from Canada who swears so much his videos get bleeped and its stupid. So he he puts videos up elsewhere because of this and his Youtube channel went to crap.

VGG got obnoxious when videos started being over an hour long because nobody wants to watch 1.5-2 hours of Youtube. That is what a movie is form

Finnegan isn't bad but yeah to much fluff not enough content.

Haven't watched Freiburger yet but probably just be more of the same with guys like Finn, Fred and Dave.

I’ll pass. It does nothing to excite me. I will let it play on YouTube so he gets credit for the view but nah.

I suggested he do SAS, 35’s and zero fender trimming… keep that thing looking stock. I think it could be a great DD build.

I never understood the love for Stacey David. I don't hate him, but the "Well were gonna , yuk yuk, get this thing together and take it for a, yuk yuk, spin around the neighborhood.

That man has put it in way longer than most. He gets a lot of credit for standing up to corporate to me. He builds his stuff for the right guy. Him.

I think it’ll be a budget 4wd build similar to the Dodge Lowrider or the Suzuki winter beater

Good, that jeep was fucking gay, even for a jeep!

I like Dave’s stuff, he is my favorite and seems to be many other guys from how much he gets around.

Vgg is okay but I don’t “watch” his stuff it’s usually just on in the background. I do really like how he works with his kids and actually “saves” cars that are his, especially the older more oddball stuff not just Camaros, vettes and mustangs.

Tony is good.

I can’t really stand Finn although can appreciate how much money he has tied up in things.

I liked friburgers newest “roadtrip” it could be cool to be some car stuff but more of a small time touring/ backroads show opposed to the “fixing” and driving old car show.

Zip ties and bias plies always makes me chuckle.

Fred fell off the recommend and haven’t gone searching on a bit.

I like VGG, pretty much my favorite channel. He drags shit out of a barn etc and barely gets it running enough for a road trip. Reminds me of roadkill

Also a huge VGG fan here. He's also family friendly, which is nice. It's like working on old cars with a friend. Makes me reminisce about years ago before life got so busy and all I had to worry about was what rattle trap I was going to cruise main street with that weekend with my buds. Fun times.
