So I have a 7.3L ZF-6 with fresh clutch and total rebuild. Also have the 271 that came behind it. It's 24 spline.

I am sticking this behind a 6bt Cummins in my 1941 Chevy G506.

I bought a passenger side drop 14B front from TTRAxle&FAB with all the goodies. He's re-building, cut him some slack, we all need grace.

I also bought a NP205 case from Tyler@TMI , to replace the 32 spline Chevy figure 8 NP205 I have here - kick ass shit.

Getting a 2.71 doubler in there is worth the extra dough.

The thought process is to gut the NP271 and build an intermediate box, with the 271 guts to a 32 spline output shaft.

Anyone know of a "black box, strong box or whatever box" that will take the 24 spline 271 input?

Pic for attention.

I got Behemoth to add 24 spline this morning. That's based on the fact it would take my 271 input.

That was after researching and posting here.

Yeah, but in my defense, and others, I wasn't sure that's for ALL/ANY 271/273 based gears.

When I order, I will verify.

... and Behemoth's missed their 3 month order date on the heat treat for the input shaft. Having Behemoth PTSD. Sending all their stuff back for a refund in a "few days" according to them.

I am back to looking for a 24 spline input under drive to a 32 spline output.

I may change the output shaft on the transmission to 34 spline and go with something off the shelf.

Yes the ecobox comes in an Hd version that takes the np271 guts
Actually... they said this:

"Ok we don’t offer he shorter stronger EcoBox-205 for a GM Round. We do offer it for the GM Fig.8 Small Bore which are easy to find and it doesn’t"

They want me to get a figure 8 32 spline case and use the Ford guts with the GM 32 spline input. I think I have one.

Edit: Except I will probably do stock gears into a TMI case.

With replace-a-case 205s (Magnitude/Colossus) getting off the ground, 6 hole round patterns would make sense to offer.

Yeah... I bristled a little about that ... then he called me, so I deleted it.

Edit to add: If I do the TMI case, all my shifter location problems go away with the NWF box. They won't warranty anything but the short box behind a Cummins/ZF6 and in front of NP205 stock gears.

I get it.

Aren't the shifter locations on any of the boxes sort of in the same area? I'm going ORD in front of my Magnitude and hoping I don't run into issues.

Not that I know of. TMI moved them, as far as I know. NWF said no issues with clocking with his case.
