Ford 3.31 geared dana 61 rear axle

Bought a heap of axles out of a field. I have no info on what they came out of. 2 of the rears are Ford dana 61s with 3.31 gears.

Is there any market for these or scrap metal?

I know Dana 60 rear axles are nearly worthless, is the market any different for these obscure axles? I really can’t find any info on them or what they may have come out of.

Any info is appreciated.

I ended selling my Dana 61 for $100 to a guy who was building some sort of trailer, but in general, they are worth their weight in scrap.

Depends on how hard you want to try and sell it and how long youre willing to sit on it.

Only slight appeal is diesel builds who want a tall top end, but they're usually looking for the 3.07s or whatever. Still probably not worth much

$75-100 is probably far more than scrap value. Likely to take a long time to sell, might as well just keep it listed

It will never sell, you'll keep it listed for 30, maybe it's days, weeks, or years, it'll never sell, so you scrap it. On the way home from the scrap yard you'll get a phone call
