Way out West.
So many here are convinced China is going to invade Taiwan after being emboldened by the Russian move on Ukraine. So when will it happen?

When there is a third or fourth repost on the subject

Not happening. Patient, focused and methodical forces across the straight of Taiwan. It will happen like Hong Kong, without a whimper.

Edit: Motorcharge vote counts six times because Splib

Not that I think it was going to happen anyway, but I think China distancing themselves from Russia publicly says a lot. They saw how absolutely no one is backing Russia with Ukraine, that's gotta really drive home just how alone China really is if they start anything they're not capable of handling on their own. I don't think they can even expect Russian support at this point if they tried anything.

I say sooner than later as sleepy mashed joetato demonstrates his loss of reality. It shows weakness and will fuck us into a war, probably with china first…

No way not happening. Take a picture, write it down - Splib

Could be wrong…but you have to admit there’s a issue with the way we are being portrayed on the international front with Biden

soon as they roll out the next hypecold to release over there
just look at hong kong

but it won't be an invasion, it'll be a humanitarian response to the crippled and ailing people of that area of china bringing unity and peace to the region

When the money drys up going to Hunter, shortly after.
US is currently not able to fight two wars. If we were to get involved in Europe, then I can see the ChiComs making a bold move and it won't be just Taiwan they go after.
I also see Russia pulling back just to protect their troops from the heavy bombardment they are going to lay down. Then send their guys back in.

:shaking::shaking::shaking:

First sentence made sense, then . . . .. :flipoff2:

Maybe we should encourage Japan to go back to being Nippon again and have an actual army and navy that can project force in a more reasonable manner than previously. More of an unwanted groping of Nanking than full on rape.....:flipoff2:
Japan has expanded their "self defense force" in recent years, generally with our blessings. They just recently approved an additional $6.8B in spending.

A highly developed nation like Japan can come up with nukes and means of delivery very quickly the moment they feel the need. Wouldn't surprise me if they had laid the groundwork already.

Or if they had them already....

The more I think about this the better of an idea it is. Encourage a more belligerent Nippon to challenge the Chinese issue. Takes care of both countries issues with population and birth rates. Gets us our cheap manufacturing and a country in the area that's friendly to USA interests.

What could go wrong? :flipoff2:

Maybe this is why parts of China are in lock down. Heard China secured large grain deal with Russia and they are stocking up for a protracted conflict. Their lockdowns serve two purposes supply chain disruptions and crowd protest controls. Ukraine conflict also disrupted their silk road initiative

Where is the maybe soon option....
Be after what's going on to the west of them, gets nato involved... they'll want us..(U.S.) to be busy elsewhere...I'm sure

There's a story from history that King A wanted to invade and conquer kingdom B. He sat with his advisors, he had the army, the weaponry and the support of his citizens, he didn't have the food stores to pull the citizens from their professions and send them to war without shortages. Kingdom C had vast rice fields and was neutral. So he married his daughter off to the royal family of kingdom C, got his food supply, and conquered kingdom B. Americans are juicing the numbers to make the quarter look good, China is planning centuries ahead.

A few years ago I came up with the theory that China knew that the one child policy would leave them with a surplus of men and a shortage of women, here we are 25-35 years later, and China has a surplus of fighting age men who will likely never marry. It could be a feature, not a bug. I think it is inline with Trump and his highly unfavorable steel tariffs, Chinese steel was sold at a loss until the western mills shut down. In the event of a large scale war, we would be crippled.

I think that if China makes a move against the US or US allies, it'll be sooner than later, and probably while Biden is in office, they've bought him, they want to use him

I voted 6mo just cuz

ah
I'd reverse those but amend it to the us is just starting to realize short term planning sucks

china pretends to play the long game, but they're currently burning down all their grain elevators because the operators know the amounts on hand they gave the government were not based in reality, the fires are easier to explain than the lies

Holy fuck there are weird ass comments and paranoid ignorant fucks in this thread.

google you up chinese grain elevator fires
there been a lot of them lately

Assuming that the minute hostilities begin we stop importing Chinese goods, I’m in the not gonna happen camp. If not, 6 months.
Unfortunately, our economies are too intertwined to survive the embargoes that would have to happen and we’d be in almost as much trouble as them. We can’t produce the goods we consume at any price without Chinese imports and their economy can’t survive without selling them to us. I see a game of economic chicken. Our politicians think they’re smarter than G. Washington (Farewell Address) and put us in a terrible position that is gonna screw us at some point. As easy as it is to dislike Donald Trump, he had this under control and the fuckwit in his chair is making a mess of it.

I think it IS a bug. Unintended cause & effect.

Did you thought men can get pregnant?

And it’s not really a surplus of fighting age men. They’re going to be dealing with as much as 2 elders to 1 fighting age men & women and can be economically disaster. They need to fight now, while their older age groups are still able to be on the workforce to support the war.
