So I installed shoulder belts on the 67 Bronco today. Instructions said to mount the top 36" from the floorboards by drilling through both walls of the roll bar and running a bolt all the way through. Of course, this ended up being too high (the shoulder belt is at my neck).
Ran across a forum post where someone used tube clamps by milling a flat part on the clamps, welded round stock to the flat section, drilled all the way through that clamp, tapped the round stock. This is to allow it to be adjustable.
I've never used tube clamps before, is this a safe method or is it nuts?
