Thanx
Sure feels like I'm gunna rip it off the tinfoil it's screwed to...
Any tricks besides hit it with my purse?

I found this post has working links. Docs are huge so google drive will tell you to download so I tried 'em before posting. Pack a lunch, as the body manual covers all the F Series as well as the Econolines, and is about 1700 pages long.

Thank you
I think I dropped outta everything but the obn site back when Agnem was the resident guru for diesel...

I can't remember if those fold or not but I'm leaning towards no. The angles on the split between the two halfs don't look like something that's meant to pass over itself while pivoting.

Me too
Pulling the door pannels to access "fords better idea" sux to store this for a month or two...
Thanx
They don't look or feel like they should.

Do they not use a spring to hold them down and locked in place like every other automotive mirror of that style?

I am not sure they fold. I have broken a few of those and never had one pivot like you think they should.

Definitely doesn't feel like they rotate...

If they do the pivot is /must be gummed up.
It's to nice to replace with a chineezium replacement if I break it.

So far its mostly split 50/50 yes and no, no being alot of I don't think so....

Arse
Nope they probably never been moved since 93.
There's a little movement that makes me feel like there's a spring, but twisting it ,you get that uhoh feel.

So basically you need to fold the mirrors every time you get gas to keep them from seizing.

Got it.
Ford "had" a better idea, then fell asleap...
Whats the 1 exposed screw under the pivot point do?
Besides trick you into thinking it lets you fold it in.....
