Hey Irates! I finally went and ponied up for a yellow skull! Some of you know I started a 3D printing gig out of my house a few months back. Several of you contacted me to order custom garden plant tags during planting season. So I figured it was time to step up.

Right now I am running four 3D printers and I print in PLA and PETG materials. I’ve done models, plant tags, switch panels, vehicle badges, and more. If you have something you want made, drop me a line and let’s get it done! Here are a few prints I’ve done

I’ve also recently expanded my operation with the addition of a laser engraver. Custom tumblers, wood or slate coasters, glassware, and so on.

I am already looking at my next expansion which will be either sublimation or large format vinyl cutting.

so of there is anything you want, just let me know. I will keep updating this thread with more cool stuff as I make it.

One of the benefits to 3D printing is the ability to make pretty much whatever you want or need to. While working on my new production studio space, I decided I wanted a clean way to store my large collection of filament spools. Did a little digging on thingiverse and found something I liked. This will use some 1/2” conduit to create storage rails. So I downloaded the files for the basic brackets but decided I wanted them stronger with some more style. So I pulled the files into CAD and decided to add a gusset in the form of the design found on the back of Edward Elrics iconic red jacket in the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. (Yes I’m a geek)

After slicing them to print with 4 walls, 7 top and bottom layers, and a Honeycomb infill pattern at 50% infill for strength, I printed them in a translucent neon green PETG. These should last for ages and Hold up to plenty of weight.

I ordered a hub tool off Etsy a while ago like in the link. Wouldn't mind a few more for Christmas gifts.
I’ll see what I can do. He doesn’t mention what material he printed it with. PETG should be good for that, though ABS would probably be better.

Wife would love a nightmare before Christmas water bottle.
Absolutely! What size would you like? I’ve got the big 32 ounce on the top left in several colors. Red, blue, and black are 24 oz, shorter blue ones are 20 oz as are the shiny blue ones.

do you want the jack and sally image I have on my wife’s water bottle above? Or something else?

Think you could come up with something like this if I sent you a base plate to model off? It's a velocity stack for a SxS in case you were wondering.

I was told they were printed from carbon fiber
Oh. I’ll have to look into that. I haven’t messed with carbon fiber filament yet. I know it’s on the pricey side but I’m not sure what needs to be done to work with it. Some materials are more finicky than others. ABS for instance needs to be run in an enclosed and ventilated environment as it’s very susceptible to temp changes during printing and the fumes aren’t great either. Also needs an upgraded hot end as it melts at a much higher temp. I’ll do some research on carbon fiber printing and see what it will take to run the stuff.

Here are a few pictures of what the base of the part needs to look like so that it bolts to the throttle body i run. I have one of these I could send you to use as a reference, the rest of it we would have to figure out...

Jack and Sally. I like the 5th pic down one. 32 oz or maybe one of the cups with lids, more sure what she would want more

Cool. Easy enough. Give me a few and I’ll run out to the studio and see what colors I have in the big 32 oz and the cups.

Yeah that would be great. So does the velocity stack fit inside that plate? Like the base of the stack is sandwiched between that plate and the throttle body? I don’t see mounting holes in the current stack.

also did some research on printing with carbon fiber impregnated filament. Shouldn’t be too difficult from what I read. I’ll be ordering a spool of it today so I can start playing with it and figure out the best settings for it. Seems a hardened steel nozzle in a larger hole size is helpful because the carbon threads in the filament can easily clog a smaller nozzle and it’s abrasive so it will wear a brass nozzle out quickly.

Ok. Here is what I have for colors in stock. In the big 32 ounce bottles I have these colors.

These also come with a second lid

One of these engraved will be $25 plus $10 shipping.

For the skinny tumblers, these all have the slide style lids and they come with a straw as well. These are the colors I have in stock.

I can burn it today and have it boxed up and in the mail tomorrow.

The velocity stack is part of that base. In the first picture it would be below what you can see. Wish I had a better picture of it... You would basically print that baseplate with the velocity on top of it.

Ok. So print the whole thing as one piece? Or make the stacks swappable in case of damage?

Yes, all one piece. A foam Uni-Filter clamps around the top and acts as an air filter. I'll see if I can come up with a rough sketch in the next day or so to give you a better idea.
Sounds good. I think if I can see it assembled I’ll have a better idea of exactly what you want. Kinda hard to visualize the whole picture with just random parts if ya know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm also horrible at explaining stuff like that so I'm not exactly helping the situation. :lmao:

Getting some Halloween type stuff made up for the flea market this weekend. My wife is a big Hocus Pocus fan so I drew some inspiration from her obsession.
