What's new

Cybertruck: no thread here.

Saw a Cybertruck at the drive-thru window at Taco Bell in Seymour, MO. yesterday. Saw something about one wheeling at a local off-road park a few days ago as well. Maybe I'll ask around to see how owns it and how it did.

I've seen 3 cybertrucks recently hauling a trailer.

In all three instances, both the trailer and whatever it was hauling appeared to be brand new. Today it was a brand new 2 axle ~16' trailer and brand new mini ex on it. The type of mini ex you see for rent at HD.

Haven't read the entire thread. Is that some kind of advertising or something?

Same thoughts but with the Rivian things. Hardly ever saw one and now theres one towing a boat or a camp trailer every other day. Just kinda odd

Fuckin things are huge. Some dumbass that lives by me bought one.

I didn't like that but I have seen quite a few around. I think that look pretty cool. Definitely are much bigger than I was thinking from pictures.

Id buy one if I had the cash to burn

You see way more Rivians than cybertrucks around here but people here started getting Rivians as soon as they came out.

if you wanna see under a cybertruck's skirt

but it looks like it's just regular tesla shit in an ugly stainless shell.
i will say that I'm impressed with Tesla just sharing repair information to the public. Why can't more companies do that?

They don't sell spare parts and a lot of the ECUs are coded to the car with no publicly available tools to re-code.
Tesla aren't specially known to be easy to work on.

Dude bought a brand new 48v battery straight from the Tesla service center and he's somehow getting new fuses.
I was surprised that Tesla even has anything publicly available.
Contrast that with bmw and Audi that sue everyone posting technical documents and it seems like a step in the right direction.

Tesla seems pretty open on sharing to move invitation along. Plus for that.

Someone in town has a cyber truck now. Seen it twice this week. Can say I'm over it as any interest as a vehicle. Spent more time looking at the new Corvette in the next row over.

Please tell me they chariot race with those gay ass wheels and pop each others tires at least?

Guess I'm getting old cause seeing shit like that causes physical pain. :lmao:
No but they do this swerve all over the lane thing but I can’t remember what the slang for it is. Something like swangin elbows in my lane with candy paint or something.

Whistlindiesel raped his Cybertruck (and a F-150 for comparison)

Good to know - Cybertruck; hitch is weak as shit. Slam the door to entrap passengers, will rapidly disassembly with barehand.

I just skipped through that
you get dumber as you go just watching it

I have no idea how people watch that on a regular basis

Cyber truck sillyness. My wife's employer bought one. Been tooling around town in it.

Its gayer than AIDS. The trash company owners in town bought one too.

So my wife's boss decided to save money on shipping charges, he would buy a dual axle flatbed trailer, and hoof it to Tennessee to pickup several pallets of product. 1800lbs a piece, six pallets on the trailer.

I didn't look up the range while towing. But he left Thursday evening and isn't back yet. :homer::laughing:. He has a model S with "kikgas" tags on it also, also gayer than AIDS :lmao:

Apparently via texting with employees checking in, several super charger stations aren't online/available. Guess he looked up locations before leaving but not functionality. :shaking::homer::laughing::lmao:

Wish my wife would quit but she's a dense bitch. :frown:

I was hoping he'd yeet boulders into the bed. I think it would do well at that. Tonneau cover notwithstanding.

CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A driver is dead after a Tesla Cybertruck crashed and burst into flames in Chambers County overnight, authorities said.

The fatal crash happened along Fisher Road near Cedar Port Parkway, not far from Beach City.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials said a Tesla Cybertruck left the roadway and struck a culvert before catching fire.

Video from the scene shows the Cybertruck was just a burned-out shell after the flames were extinguished.

Investigators said it was unclear why the driver lost control. The investigation is ongoing.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not immediately release his name.

The Cybertruck is the latest electric vehicle from Tesla. The company first started delivering the electric pickup trucks to customers in late 2023.

The truck first made headlines because of its unique look with flat, stainless steel sheet panels. It has continued to spark controversy due to ongoing safety concerns and an accelerator pedal pad recall.

Getting on to highway 60 from Glenstone this morning, I saw a solar company name on one with an American flag wrap over the whole thing.

My wife told me she saw one with some logs sticking out of the bed the other day. She doesn't like them.🤷‍♂️They are pretty much dead to me .

Completed vehicle lot at the Rivian plant in Normal IL went up in flames last night. Fire started about 10pm, was contained/out by midnight
