I'll never be not confused at how shit like that doesn't get turned into boards and timbers

I think the best thing husky did for profitability was going away from the pro series and making "homeowner" saws...

So if it's at homodepot, it's cheap,
Ever see a logger run those variants?
?wondering why stihl wont stock there?
yes they make entry level shit....

Stihl stocks at Ace Hardware around here... ACE is pretty janky for the most part, so the whole quality argument kinda fails there. Tractor supply has Husky now, and granted the 'rancher' saws are homeowner saws, but, for most people, a saw like the 460 is plenty for firewood etc.

I have a 460 and a 395xp (and some smaller saws)

I'm not a logger. When I worked on a fire crew, I used a 372xp, great saw for sure, but I use the 460 most of the time and it is plenty of saw.

btw, I thought Echo was the Home Depot saw brand? I thought Lowe's carried Husky (and Tractor Supply)

I bought my 460 from a good saw shop in Salinas. go figure.

this is my kid using the 460 to cut a beam.

I've got a TS460 (basically your 460 but without an oil pump configured as a demo saw) and that thing just strikes me as overly heavy for the available power when comparing it to a husky partner active k650 (same 60ish CC)
the husqvarna one just feels like it's got more poop and less weight for the same engine displacement
