Carvana review

Thank you.

Also here is what $60k of that debt looks like.

I have 2 more 6 passenger Yamaha Vikings that is the rest of it.

No Big TV's or Nike shoes were purchased.

Pretty decent deal is those only set ya back 60K. Sorta nuts though that they re even 20 apiece. Rentals on those things are nuts around here, as in number of units and the demand.

So you rent these for people to drive on the road? Which brands and models hold up the best?

Yes currently for street use only.

I am currently trying to also open an off road park where people can take guided tours on them.

As for durability I am only 1 year into this so do not have any real data on that.

However, the RZR 1000 seems to be the standard around here so that is what I plan on purchasing going forward.

Should get some street tires.

Wow, I never thought of that.

You must be like one of those super genius's I've heard of.

On the serious side I run LT tires on everything but those RZR's there seems to be nothing that fits right so I had to buy 3 sets of DOT UTV tires

This is how the others look (excuse the potato pic, it is all I have)

crispins maybe you should use that credit card to buy a time machine so you can start a thread on your rental business!

I didn’t read the whole thing, just the 1st page. Anyways you highly recommend them. Interesting, more blemishes than they advertised, wrong floor mats and terrible rate but looks like you expected the rate deal. Those three things don’t make them highly recommended to me. Maybe a pleasant experience but far from highly recommended.

Fair enough.

My overall happiness with them is based on the easiness of getting a car from them as well as their policies that back that up (7 day return policy, 100 day full warranty)

A few clicks and I had a car that I wanted delivered to my house without having to waste hours and / or days dealing with shitty used car dealers (sorry DMG and XR-Nut)

Touché, everyone prioritizes thing differently. Your time and headache seems like your priority and Carvana did well in those two areas.

well you never know, you are paying 20% APR :flipoff2: There is alot of those running around and complaining how quickly the tires get worn town and how spendy they are and never considered other tires. Wipe the sand off....

Carvana seems to be marketed to millennials with paychecks, no idea about cars and no desire to leave their comfort zone of staring at a screen. I never really looked at their prices I just assumed the convenience was not free. I'm not their target market so it doesn't matter. I just picked up a 20 yo accord for 3 times my normal shitbox budget but it's not in shitbox condition and other reasons justified spending more than I would normally.

As long as I can avoid some dumbass hitting me like the close call on the nj parkway yesterday I should still be driving it ten years from now, just in time to leave it to a certain kid if he even wants it.

It’s cool. We aren’t the shitty ones

Just to update.

Carvana sent me $100 for the floormats, I bought the Weather Techs for $130

They have offered to have a body shop of my choice repair the scratch/dent on the roof and the polish mark on the side of the car.

I am not sure what I am going to do here.

I really do not like paint repair as I often think it looks horrible.

I was most likely just going to have the roof wrapped in gloss black vinyl as I like the look and it would cover the scratch.

Bottom line is they seem to stand behind their vehicles pretty well.

I still have over 90 days to have any mechanical issues I find repaired.

Also I spoke to them and because this is a Lexus and many repair shops would not be equipped to work on them (their words not mine) they said any issues take it to the Lexus dealership.

Honestly, I recommend Carvana. It has been the easiest car buying experience I have ever had and I am super happy with the car and their attitude towards making me happy with the purchase.

Capitol one refinanced the loan with no fees and brought the interest rate down to 9.75% from the 20% I had through Carvana.

While not a good rate at all it is better and puts this loan behind others as far as priority to pay off.

I have a bunch of credit card debt at 29.9% so am working towards paying that off first.

Basically I am taking all my debts and paying off the highest % ones first.

I still say that I am happy with the process buying from Carvana and if I was ever in the market for a used car I would go through them again.

Please tell me you didn't put those SXSs on a credit card at 30% interest...

Well....

Most of it is at 20% but some of it is at 30%

It should all be mostly paid off in the next few months.

Risk big for big rewards.

I could have built this slow and steady and debt free but I am swinging for the fence here.

I am close to 50 years old, I need it to happen now if I am going to have some time to enjoy it.

You're like the guy at the casino who sits down next to me and puts $1k on red while I have $5 on black, and then the guy sits there cool and unnerved the whole time while I have a vicarious heart attack.

I would have signed for 200% for 120 months because it doesn't matter at all, I have no intentions of carrying this loan for more than 60 days.

What I did not want to do was waste the little time I have left (till I open and work 90+ hours a week for the rest of the year) so getting the car I want, at a decent price, delivered to my house with no worries as if I did not like the car they would pick it up with no cost to me was the only thing that mattered.

I was trying to be subtle but I have enough cash to pay for a few of these, I have some deals going on right now and wanted to keep my cash in case I needed it.

So Carvana gets a month or so of interest from me, I got a good deal on the car so another $400 - $800 in interest is not going to really effect things very much.
Hmmmmm. That was in March, yet....still paying for it....:laughing::laughing:

Just messin with ya.

My good ole JKUR and my wife's 2021 Civic will be paid off Aug 19th :smokin:

Thanks NY real estate market :lmao:

One of my wife's friends bought a car from Carvana. She is busy as fuck with two jobs and five kids. Didn't have a full day to waste at the stealership. She was very happy with her purchase.

buddy was moving across the country, had to unload his wife's car within ~1 day window between her stopping working and them leaving to drive.

Carvana apparently gave them the best (vs at least CarMax), showed up within 30 minutes of scheduled time, was there for maybe 30 minutes, and it was painless. I get why people would sell to them, and if buying is similar, why not? Sorry car lots, but time is $$

It's like that at an big car lot now as well. They're all starved for inventory and will just pay whatever out the ass because they have no problem selling it for more to people at 30%. They're also banking on a percentage of customers getting their shit repo'd so they can sell it again.

We bought my wife's Pacifica on Carvana. Not my choice on a car but she really liked the stow and go seating and I wasn't getting a Caravan.

Anyways, Carvana's price was a couple grand cheaper with way less miles on it then any dealer in the area. I have excellent credit and got 4% which isn't much worse than what I would of gotten elsewhere.

The only issue we had after we got it was that there was some dog hair in the back. They offer to get it professionally cleaned but that wasn't a big deal.
