It blew across the room and hit my birdseed bucket and sprayed that **** everywhere so I have some vacuuming to do. Better than a busted face. Gonna see if they will warranty it

Found these in a folder I forgot I had while looking for something else. Which came first??? Chicken or the egg? Crank break first and take out the block? Block break first and take out the crank? 2 bolt main 427 Windsor factory roller lifter/cam block. Scat forged crank. Was 700 hp until it wasn’t 😂
Id guess the block took out the crank. The next time it fired that cylinder after the bolt boss broke on the block the crank left the chat.🤷♂️

I wonder if the later 1555 shafts are a direct swap in like the 1550 Superduty stuff.
Also, WTF are people talking about not using an impact on a ball joint press

I hammer on my dads snap-on one as well as my harbor fail one just the same. 1000 ft lbs in the tighten direction till the thing I want to move, has moved 😆You can get away with more on a rental

Looks like it's part of a U-joint service kit, not a balljoint press. Still looks like junk cast the way it broke. I have a bunch of pullers and presses that are 20+ years old and have been used hard and never broke.

Milwaukee has a bad ass one with 1100 ft pounds in the on direction and 1500 in the off direction. Dad has two of them and they will tear some **** up!

I will say my ball joint press looks more heavy duty than that.

IMO that should have been some sort of "ductile" not explosion cast.

Basically the same axles as the rest of the 2500/3500 Dodges, but with lockers and 4.56 gears from the factory. The fronts are an AAM 9.25, the rears were the AAM 10.5 in the earlier trucks (I've read supposedly they had the 11.5 shafts though) and AAM 11.5 in the later ones. The 9.25 was upgraded to 1555 joints from the 1485 at some point (2010?), and the gears were downgraded to 4.10s at the same time they switched to the 11.5 I believe.

If that last snap ring is fighting you. Just grab it by the bearing caps in the vise and smack that ear out. They are normally just flexed in a lil bit.

Had a customer order one of those Lisle brand pullers to replace an OTC one that he broke of mine. Greased it up good and maybe 5 Ujoints in, that thing was galled up bad enough that a 3/4" gun couldnt turn it
Otc is who i was thinking of….
Protip: use permatex assembly lube on your forcing screw threads and they wont do that. I had a lisle ps pulley puller i used to trash every time ive used it, havent ****ed one up since i started doing that

If that doesn't get it, then make sure you didn't have a bearing fall down. I was in a hurry once and blew the top of a cap off. When I looked, one of the needles was stuck to the bottom of the cap. Whoops.
