Best Sandwich….

For store bought, my new favorite is Tully's Deli for the DiMaggio sandwich.

Pic from their site since I don't have one

I forgot...mostly becuase my cardiologist says I can't even consider such things anymore....but there's this little shithole pizza place in Carson that makes some good stuff...used to order lunch there at least 3 days a week.

The Mussolini Grinder: Meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese.

I am shocked how many people like Jersey mikes, maybe I need to try it again, or is Taco bell real mexican food to you?
Understand, I didn't say taco bell is bad, because it's delicious.

I recently found out the "beans" are reconstituted, ie made from powder and tap water That's why it is so consistent across the spectrum. Haven't eaten there since. I always try to find a local guy trying to make a living and a dream. :blender:

Yes. lol. I hate bellpeppers so they kinda had a standing order to omit those from anything I ordered (3-4 days a week for 15 years lol)....

Bambino's Pizza, HOME | Bambinos 123

Pretty sure I put the owner's kid threw college-

Edit: .. .also pretty sure it's why I had a heart attack due to a clogged artery at 43

Back when I was a teenager, I used to make bologna, ham and turkey on a french roll with american singles, pepperoncinis(sp) and french fries. Toast it and slather that bad jackson in Duke's mayo.

Yes I was high as fuck every time I made them. :smokin:

More like Beef on Retch, Buffalo cant even do good wings. Yes even the Anchors Bars supposedly original wings are greasy crap. Everything Ive ever eaten in Buffalo has been an overhyped over done rendition of crap. From their chicken tenders, to garbage plates its all crap. Hell even Syracuse's "local food" salt potatos are better than Buffalo's swill. Yes before you ask, they are just potatoes cooked in salt water brine. It is thee height of cuisine in Central NY.

Any sandwich from Kazansky's in Pittsburgh was awesome.

Best sandwich is a mexican sandwich (tacos, meat in bread its a sandwich) from the taqueria on 495 in Donna TX.

Oh and shrimp po'boys at about a half dozen places in Charleston.
Agreed, the Anchor Bar is sticking to the original recipe (butter and Tobasco, if I'm not mistaken) and the world moved on and made better wings everywhere else. Duff's in Buffalo has far better wings and is usually busier.

And garbage/refuse/trash plates are just cobbled together shit for drunks from Rochester to eat when the bars close. Fuck that noise.

I used to live on the West Bank of New Orleans. I'd like to try your Charleston shrimp po'boys for comparison.

Pastrami on rye with swiss and deli mustard from philippes across from union station LA.

I've been there a bunch of times and still don't understand the attraction. The sandwiches aren't special

Maybe it was different when I went there in the 1980's.

Same I suppose as the hollenbeck burrito el tepeyac cafe in Boyle Heights.

Lots of restaurants I loved from the 70/90's have disappeared but thats the way it goes.

The Sandwich Spot on E Glendale has Dutch Crunch bread too. And the boss was telling me last week about how Mr. Pickles, Ike's, and Sandwich Spot were all founded by guys who used to be partners. I just finished half of their Snake Bite Sandwich. Roast beef, BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheese. Damn that thing is good.
This place is great, it’s slow and expensive though  Niccoli's Italian Grocery-Deli · Phoenix, Arizona

Really good old school deli

Fried hard salami, home grown tomatoes and mayo lightly toasted bread.

Islays ham BBQ sandwich it's a regional thing

Im partial to a good french dip with onions or a philly cheese steak. But if I am making it myself it usually go for two onion bulkie and provolone grilled cheese either on their own or with bacon and a burger with mushrooms and onion and cheddar between them. Delicious.

The food is ok, it's more of an iconic piece of history to me. Going there during a Dodges game is a lot of fun,

Wait !!

Are Tacos sandwiches?

If no then,

Fried bologna and spicy mustard on a Sweet Hawaiian roll.

Any place that speaks broken English, only accept cash, have a cook named tiny that’s 6 foot and 300 more, bonus points if they all yell at each other in a language other than English.

I like everything in a good piece of bread from gyros, clubs, Italians, Ruben, pastrami, roast beef, brisket, burger, pulled pork, meatballs, blt, fried chicken ect.

It all depends what mood you are in but a good sandwich that hits the spot is hard to top.
